Hey, one vote to *keep* the actionbar use. I don't use AutoBar precisely because I don't want another bar onscreen, I have a very nice actionbar setup thanks.
If you can get rid of the macros and assign direct to button IDs, that'd be cool tho!
Somebody should really continu to work on this addon. Loads of ppl need something like this. I for example don want a separate bar but just to use a few slots on my regular bar. It woul also be nice if such a system could replace autotrinketbar as well.
So far I'm enjoying this addon, but ran into a slight problem. How should I proceed when the set name is too big for a macro name, ie. cFoodBreadConjured won't fit. I could got into pt and edit the set name but that seems a little hackish...
I'd rather set it specifically to my conjured food than generic food, as I don't like consuming anything else without intending to.
The complete add-on is attached to this post.
Tested with default Blizz actionbars (and I wont support other ones for now).
If there's enough interest I'm considering to branch this add-on, we'll see...
Great update sca, the advanced tooltips dont seem to be working for me. At first I was getting errors when mousing over my food macro, about pairs epcting a table near line 96 in core.lua. When I disabled verbose mode, the error stopped, and hasnt come back even when i re-enabled it. But I dont get any advanced info in the tooltips. In case it matters I am using Bartender2 and TinyTip.
How is the category called that produces this error?
Neither Bartender2 nor TinyTip should be the culprit here.
"Advanced" tooltips merely show you what items you have in your inventory that fit the category and their count, so maybe you just missed it as not being advanced enough ;)
P.S.:

PT provides a function to add custom sets but I don't know if it works with meta-sets (sets containing sets..). So that would be the way to go to fix this imo.
Oh yeah, I forgot: Consumer also has preliminary cooldown support now
I can't log onto WoW right now heh, but I'll copy the exact error and post it for you later, also if I disable verbose mode and re-enable them in the same session the error stops. However if I reload the ui or relog while verbose is enabled the error will come back, so right now I just have it diabled so that I get no errors and it works fine.
Off the top of my head all I remember is that there was an error near line 96 of core.lua and that pairs was expecting a table but got nil, or something along those lines.
Yeah i would like this too! I just want to assign a button anywhere on my actionbars to use the best food or water available. Not a extra bar, just something like autobar turned in to autobutton :-P
Cool! Thanks for doing that!

Right now it allways shows the biggest pot/bandage I have availible
and it would be nice if it checked for a debuff that interupts the Bandaging (poisen or so)
I made some changes that I would like to share with you:
I probably forgot sth., but that should give you a pretty good overview.

why when AutoBar got ace'd and supported?
autbar ist a bar of its own
i want something to integrate into my own bars (bartender)
