Would someone please tell me.....Do I need a separate Babble 2.2 folder inside my addons folder? I understand that a lot of the Ace 2 mods I have us the library AND that it's included with them, but is a separate folder library needed?
A silly question along those lines - i now have standalone libraries and all those libs in their own folder, and all of them ticked in my blizzard add on menu.
Makes it hard to find the "real" add ons when trying to enable/disable and test
Do these LOD libraries still need to be ticked to be used?
LOD means they'll be loaded if they're needed. The interface for enabling/disabling mods/add-ons overrides that. If you disable libraries, they cannot be "loaded on demand". In short, yes. They have to be ticked if you've got a mod that needs them.
That's what I thought but it never hurts to check ;)
If I dont tick them, then the game is actually using a version of the library which it finds within subdirs of an enabled add on.
So my choice is between convenience in updating (can update libraries as soon as they are released and have the current version be used by my add ons even before the add on update has been released) versus the convenience of a cleaner/easier add on management screen.
Really what I need is a better add on management screen where i can group add ons somehow... enable/disable whole groups, or save "situations"... time to start searching.
