I updated the subject and the information in the original post of this thread.
The wiki pages are lagging a little bit behind what is actually in the addons at the moment but hopefully sometime this week or weekend I will have some time to actually bring those to current as well. It's been a busy week re-organizing the wiki pages since we originally had eleventy billion pages and tekkub wanted us to get it down to a more reasonable 3-4 pages. Things are loosely combined on pages like that should be, but the info is just not 100% at the moment. :)
Any status update on ChannelsSeperator not saving settings? I can't get Officer to stick in my Officer chatframe, I have to reenable it every login. Also, Officer shows up in my Guild chatframe, even though only Guild is enabled.
The only thing I still miss from this Excellent mod is a "scroll to bottom" button in the corner of chatframes when not at the bottom, like the venerable ChatBox has (http://ui.worldofwar.net/images/ui/01819.chatboxB.jpg). I know it's on the ToDo at the wiki page, I just wanted to do a shameless plug for that poor feature :)
I currently use Tekkubs "The Low Down" which is great in it's own right, but not what I need... A visual indicator would be a lot better. I sometimes scroll up to read or compare a lot of links, and if I don't scroll the frame a tad now and then TheLowDown will start scrolling it to the bottom for me. With a button I'd always see what frame is not at the bottom, and have an easy way to get there.
I really like prat, and the new features keep making it better. I was finialy able to get rid of confab when you added undocking the editbox. I'm wondering if the keybindings module could be expanded to cover the features of "Chatlock" http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/wow/addons-647-1-chatlock.html which is the only other chat mod I'm still stuck with.
Basically in chatlock, you set up a chatlock chat keybinding (ie. enter) and populate a list of channels to default sticky to (ie. "/chatlock set 1 guild", "/chatlock set 2 party") - You can then use a keybinding to cycle what your chat defaults to, something like a forced sticky that you can change on the fly. I prefer this method over binding a key to each channel, and makes it easier to "switch gears" so to speak, when going from chatting in guild to battlegrounds to raids etc.
It seems like this would be a logical function to add to Prat, just thought I'd suggest it. :)
Are you still getting those errors with PlayerNames? There were some updates by the time I got home from work and I am not getting any of those errors on my client. Let us know so we know if we need to do anything more about them.
Well yesterday evening after an update of Prat & all other addons I was still getting the same error with PlayerNames.
Gregory: oops i forget to check for that battleground issue last night. :|
Lodoran: that feature is still on the list of things to do. :)
Srosh: i confirmed that playernames module isn't handling brackets properly last night. unfortunately the Detroit Tiger's (my home team) we're playing game 2 of the ACLS against the Oakland A's so i wasn't able to get any fix in place. i am pretty sure that the issue has nothing to do with the tab completion feature that i added over the weekend because i could comment out all of the tab complete code and it still wouldn't work properly. hopefully myself or Krtek will be able to straighten it out soon. :)
jameyc: i will add that chat add that chatlock feature to the list. can't promise that it will get implemented by one of use though. :)
pqee: i am pretty sure ChatFrame1 is the only dock for the other chat frames.
gagou: have you tried deleting your PratDB.lua file? i dont get that error at all.
Vrael: I don't exactly follow what you mean about chat frames not showing on login. Sounds like a bigger issue than an addon gone wrong. Nothing in Prat replaces the chat frames, the modules just interact with the existing one. I can add that fading control to the list though (not a bad idea).
