I am having trouble scrolling chat text using page up/down on the keyboard. With the default Blizzard chat this works fine, but when I install Prat this functionality disappears. I hate having the click buttons on the screen, but I need some way to scroll through my chat history. I play on a laptop, and often don't have a mouse attached and so can't use the scroll-wheel option. I looked at the Prat_keybindings module but from the short description it didn't seem to address my problem, and anyway when I tried to download it to make sure I got a file not found error.
I'm trying to switch to as many Ace mods as possible, and I like Prat a lot. Would it be possible to encorporate keybindings to chat scroll? Or is it already there and I'm missing it? Thanks!
Prat surely look promising, the only thing that keeps me from using it is a popup system when somebody writes your name, except in emotes. I did see that you were planning to create a custom text highlighting:
This is a list of potential modules.
Highlight
Do some words higlighting in chat window
I haven't seen any popup in the "todo" lists, maybe I've missed it though.
The popup system like Cleanchat is unique and good looking. (better than SCT imo)
Hi, I am looking to change to an Ace2 chat mod and this mod looks most likely for me.
The one feature I would like but I cannot seem to find mentioned anywhere is to be able to change things like enchant selling spam into clickable links like Enchanter Ad Shrinker and my current chat mod ChatBox both do.
There is currently a small bug in Prat_ChannelsSeparator. I have my chatframe3 showing nothing but /o, but it doesn't save across sessions, so I have to re-enable /o in chatframe3 every login.
I've never seen that auto-neatify-enchant-spam-into-link feature before... after seeing it it's hard to live without :P something coming up for Prat? :)
Odd, I'm seeing higher KiBs with Prat and the handfull of modules that mimics Confab/IDChatScroll/IDTimeStamp, than I did with these mods themselves. I had always assumed that it would go down. *shrug*
Bug: Chat tabs don't pulse as new messages come in. Perhaps not a bug, but a module seed.
Bug: I have 6 chat windows docked together, and, semirandomly, whichever chat tab I have currently selected will jump to the leftmost position on the list, obscuring ?Chatframe1? (Blizzards default "everything but combat" frame). There's still a hole where that tab SHOULD be, and the other tabs don't reorder or rearrange. If I click a different tab, the "wandering" tab goes home; but if I stay at the new tab for long enough, it'll exhibit the same problem
Bug: Channel Separater module doesn't seem to save its settings (already reported several messages up).
I love Prat, but I seem to be having a conflict with an old, but good mod that I use still called AH_Favorites (http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/wow/addons-2197-1-auction-house-favorites.html). I've read through some and it seems to be a problem with the "name" functions or something I believe(Im not a coder, so I dont know specifically).
Anyone mind taking a glance at this? I dont know enough to fix it myself. I changed around all the "name" text in the AH_Favorites.lua to "name1" and the error changed to an ace error, so not sure if that fixes the problem, or just covers it with another.
Here's the Prat error:
"Prat/modules/PlayerNames.lua:141: bad argument #1 to 'gsub' (string expected, got nil)"
Thank you in advance if anyone can take a glance at this, I bet it's something simple, I just am useless here :( I'll attatch both lua's for easy reference if someone can help.

If you DL off the SVN, just use WinAceUpdater and you don't have to mess with updating all those folders manually anyway, but thats just my opinion :)

Thanks again!
Looks to be working like a charm. I have had 0 issues. Just an FYI.
edit,
all is good still... but fading doesnt seem to work. /prat fading just tells me toggle: [On] but the text never fades.

I've committed the one directory version, so please erase all your Prat folders before updating :D
@vagabond : thx for feedback, I'll give a look at these bug and at memory occupation
The modules that I don't use, can I just remove them from the modules folder, and delete the line in the TOC or will this generate errors?
Corrected

I'm willing to send ya my current (not published) chat binding code for you to make a module, if you want.
