Shit, very sorry about that. Having two directories ftl (and committing the old file) ftl. Seems Fenlis has fixed it up though - thanks!
Don't take this post the wrong way, I love prat and use it all the time.
I find myself getting a little fed up of updating prat only to find that some extra crappy feature that does the opposite of making my UI look neat and tidy gets enabled by default. When that popup message was implemented I first thought holy crap, wtf is that. Others include the ugly looking <60:name:group> and the neon pink common colour that was added as default. The other annoying one is the chatlink functionality which looks like a joke when pasted into a channel where noone is using a mod that does it
The reason I update is for continued functionality and bugfixes, but I would prefer it if the new features were documented instead of me being forced to see it. It's where this mod has taken the turn from idChat2 (originally lightweight and built to do what it says) to being a jam packed compilation of things that I bet only ~5% of Prat users actually make use of.
Can you do a Prat file, and a Prat_extras like tinytip does? By extra's I probably mean the popup, chatlink etc.
Like I said, Prat is a great mod, but after every update I need to disable a lot of stuff.
I agree that we need to be careful about what we make our default values for new features. I have tried to keep the things that I add in the spirit of the idChat2 mod that Prat was born from. idChat2 modules did something be it removing buttons, be it adding timestamps, be it adding scroll support to frames. We should stay true to that when we add or expand these modules. Just as a philosophy. I am really looking forward to the expansion and looking forward to updating Prat to work in the beta in preparation for the release. I kind of like your idea of making a Prat_Extras addon for anything beyond the original scope of the mod. Kinda how TinyTip does it.

Do i have to delete the savedvariables maybe?
I had the same error, took a while but fixed it eventually by removing the !!!Libs that I had installed as well.
I've been watching the thread for a while, and skimmed to double check, so I'm sorry if this has been asked before. Is there any plan to make player name coloring work in bg, when the player is on another server? I do understand that this would be a bit more difficult to do, but it would be quite handy, especially in AV.
Apparently there has been a couple of embedded libraries that had their dependencies changed or something recently which is probably why people are getting these oddball errors like this. I really apologize for the inconvenience the addon worked fine with the libraries that they were built for. Hopefully those library issues will be resolved and no changes will be necessary in the addons but worse case scenario we will need to track down the wacky issues and figure out what must be done to make them work again.
I'm alway getting an error, when try to open the cannel menu:
[2006/11/15 16:06:43-558-x1]: FrameXML\FloatingChatFrame.lua:476: attempt to index local `color' (a nil value)

do you get this when prat is the only addon running? do you get this if you run the embedded libraries as standalone addons? earlier in this thread i mentioned that i run all my libraries external to the addon. i think i was a little confusing since the "embedded" addons are what svn calls "externals". what i mean is i run each of the libraries used by Prat as a standalone just like krtek has said that he does. i really do not get any errors at all with Prat and I run over 130 addons at a time (granted most of them at ace2 addons). it would be useful to know if the people reporting these errors have tried running the libraries standalone and are still getting the errors.
Great mod, but I agree a Prat_Extras file like TinyTips option file would be a great addition.
Also perhaps I am not setting it correctly but any chance of adding a 12h option to the timestamps? So instead of having 13:42 as the time it is seen as 1:42PM. If there is an option to set it to that already please let me know as I messed around with all the strftime options (http://www.opengroup.org/onlinepubs/007908799/xsh/strftime.html) but came up with nothing but errors or just plain nothing :(. If it helps I am using Prat_Fubar2 to set the options timestamp format options.
Thanks in advance for the great mod!
One of the TBC patches broke the TBC branch for Prat before I got into the beta. I know Krtek has said he does not have much time at the moment and I am still in the process of digesting how to tackle things.
I have a big issue with Prat. When I toggle world map some of my chat windows disappear. It only happens sometimes but its fairly often. It happens on normal servers not the test ones.
I only have auto join guild recruitment channel in my interface options, ill set it to not join now. I didnt have this problem w/o prat though.
btw is there any other good chat addon?
Chatmod is very good too. It has nearly all features of Prat. And one I miss with Prat: A small button to scroll down chats if you are somewhere scrolled up in the history.
an issue i'm having recently is that prat doesn't recognize any of its modules. prat will load and /prat will show me only the default commands; it's as if the modules folder is empty. i checked and made sure it wasnt. i rolled back to a previous version and had the same problem; i then emptied my wtf folder of all prat-related files and rolled back further to no avail. what's going on here?
edit: nevermind, disabling the latest release of cartographer fixed this.

Without seconds:
%I:%M %p
With seconds:
%r or %I:%M:%S %p both should work just fine
I will give that a try right now. Thanks for clearing it up for me Don (Bit of a coding dummy heh). I will post back with my results.
try to disable the automatic join lfg channel in interface options.

um... prat has that

Never showed any buttons for me, despite checking them. Probably again some other Ace-Mod interfering?
