I had to go through every Ace2-based addon (and have quite a few) and change the profile back to the character-based. Sometimes i had to copy from the character-based profile after. Sometimes there were some other glitches too. It took a while.
There was no need to make this change at this time and "reset" the settings of all Ace2 mods that use the char profile. Wait until TBC or something to make this change when people are updating mods and such.
It's already been said here and another topic. A change within ACEDB-2.0 in the way profiles are stored causes this. Most mods work again after reselecting the profile you use. Sometimes you need to redo the configurnig of a few mods (I had to redo AG_Unitframes for example, no matter which profile I selected.)
yup, logged on this morning and all my Ace 2 mod saved variables were gone..
Ya know, I'm not complaining about the Ace change AND the fact I have to set up my UI's again..that doesn't bother me at all..BUT what REALLY PI**'S me off is NOT knowing and thinking I may have to reload WoW AGAIN!
A friend just had to reload WoW yesterday...and had alot of problems reloading..and his opinion is that it may have come from a Cartagrapher addon ( not Cartagrapher itself )...so I was concerned that I to was going to have to reload....AND THAT SUCKS!
Shouldn't a major version upgrade been done for something like this? Isn't the [libname] x.y made for exactly this reason? I must say I'm not happy about having to redo all my settings, particulary since configuring my mods has been the only thing I've done in wow for 2 months.
