@Ogun: hm wierd i didnt notice any problems... sure its from gmail? you can try this: http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info6100-ActionBlocked.html and you will find exact command that gives you that actionblock error... then just do text search thrue whole addons folder ;>
...'just'.
Anyway, once wowinterface stops going completely insane I'll snag that mod, but I can guarenteee that I had full repeatable behavior. Turning it off fixed the issue. best I can do on that...
I am using r19443 and when I check a mail item to return, all I get is a message in my chat box saying "Returning mail ..." but it doesn't actually do anything.
I've updated the thread title and .toc of the mod to not say Grennon-mail anymore since this is more of a community thing than a Grennon thing. I never really realized how many people used this mod until the other day some people in my guild were talking about and how the compilations they downloaded had it in them.
Maybe after I get done skinning damagemeters-al and converting it to dewdrop I'll take a stab at redoing some of the GMail code.
Would it be possible to remove the attached messages for multimail? The new CT_MailMod has made this change. The difference is not needing to click the delete button when opening mail manually... It's generally not important to know the mail is item X of N.
Some guild enchanters using this mod are getting the "wow blocked this ui" error while using this mod. & disenchanting items.
Using it myself, with no problems however.
its blizzard bug...
Makes sense. FYI, according to ActionBlocked GMail tries to perform PickupContainerItem() which causes the error when disenchanting. Disabling GMail (and only GMail) fixed the problem. I only receive the error on my disenchanting character, however.
I mention this in case it helps someone figure out a workaround until Blizzard fixes whatever bug causes this.
is there a way to have it save the name of the last person mailed?
thanks :)
over sessions or pernament?
either would be great. whichever is easiest i suppose :p
the wiki page says "Remembers "last send mail to" Option (duno if it is an blizzard stuff or one of GMail ^^)" so that's why i asked about it. i thought there was a slash command or something else i couldnt figure out!

I don't know about a hack to get the code working, but I do know that placing the items on your action bars lets you use them. It seems to be specifically a Blizzard messed up + GMail + inventory error.

well PickupContainerItem() is securehooked, shouldnt be any issues :s and btw if you tryed ct_mailmod you have same issues i presume (since code is more or less same)?
There was another addon that I used before this one that had a nice feature. The addon was Mailto it would put a dropdown window into the send box and let you add names to it instead of having to type them and let it autocomplete the name. Instead you would just select the name from the menu and shift click items to send them to that person. The reason I don't care for the autocomplete that much is there are several characters with very similar names in the guild i'm in and I tend to send something to the wrong player from time to time. Whole reason I swapped addons for mail is the guy who made Mailto left and ended development after the switch to 2.0 :( it would also keep track of the mails you sent and let you know when they were delivered and put the coinage that was collected from the AH mails and total it all when you closed the mailbox.

I was just about to post about MailTo here, as I was looking for Grennon's contact email address to ask him about whether he would accept patches for a couple of features that MailTo had but that I miss, and the drop-down was one of them.
First off, though, thanks for doing Gmail, Grennon. I like it very much.
This drop-down list feature is one I also make use of. Will you add it, or will you accept a patch from me if I add it?
Another feature of mailto was reporting on how much money was collected, as someone mentioned a few posts back. Same question as above: do you want to add it, or accept a patch for it?
Also, a very useful feature was that it tracked when mail was delivered or about to expire. So, an hour after I sent something, I'd see a message that said it had been delivered, or I'd get that message when I next logged in. Now, I realize that GMail is not currently tracking specific mailbox contents for people, but another addon that many people use is -- CharacterProfiler. And, I'm sure others, but CharacterProfiler is especially common because people often use it to maintain their information on the web through UniUploader. So, you can just use CP's information as the backing store. Would you add this feature, or accept a patch for it?
Relatedly, I wrote a new Ace mod this weekend that was inspired by MailTo's /mtl (MailTo_Locate) feature: it will search all of you and your alts mail, bank, inventory, and equipped items from the chat console, looking for any item names that match the argument string. This really doesn't belong in a mail mod, IMHO, hence why I put it in a new mod named "Rummage" that I'll be uploading to Wowace this week.

GMail: Opening mail 1/6: "Auction successful: Dream Dust" from Alliance Auction House.
Just adding the coin amount at the end of the line would be great.
Thanks,
