Working off idChat2_ChannelNames r11137 yesterday and thus far I've been unable to get it to do any replacements at all. idChat2 and the ChannelNames modules both load, neither are on standby. The options for Party, Guild, Raid, etc are all set and I used /idchat channelnames channelX set to set a few other channels, but none thus far have changed. I've tried relogging, disabling other addons, trying older builds, etc.
Since there are no error messages and all the console dialogs seem to claim everything is fine I have no idea what to check next. Ideas?
Whenever I create a new chat frame timestamps and colored names works for a few lines, then it just disapears. It worked fine the first time I used idChat2 on my already configured chat windows, but as with creating new windows, it too vanished after a while.
Hmm i have three windows...Normal Chatframe/SimpleCombatLog/Wisphers...i dont know, which event kill the windows but after this event i have only the normal chatframe. :<
Yes, it is indeed fixed (thanks and cheers for that!), however, now the color and timestamps are somehow borked. First, no timestamps are shown on lines which have custom channel text replacements (using idChat2_Timestamps), but they are shown for lines for which this is turned off. Second, only the custom replacements should be of white color but in contrary all or part of the whole line are in white.
Hmm.. something I noticed this morning is an inconsistent use of the idChat database. Some modules are using the AceDB AcquireDBNamespace and RegisterDefaults functions while others are writing their data to a branch of the idChat default profile. In reading the AceDB API it seems that AcquireDBNamespace had modules in mind so each module can have its own fully functional database. I am probably going to convert my two modules to using this mostly as a learning experience but also because it seems like it is a better data structure for a module just looking at the data file.
Edit: Also does anyone have any solid information on how to get make a item link to work with center and right justified chat windows? You can get the link to work if you click to the left of the chat window in the area relative to the line the link is on but I want to make it work properly if at all possible. I havent has much luck finding a solution anyplace and all of the other addons I know of that justify text have the same problem.
