Does idChat2 split Guild Officer chat off from general Guild?
Confab gives each it's own checkmark, which allows you to make a windows that display only officer chat or guild chat (or both if you check both checkmarks).
Here's a SS of Confab's implimentation.
Here's the default WoW implimentation. Its both or neither; all or nothing.
I really dig Ace and Ace2, and, personally, I don't care how it's implimented, but being able to split officer chat off to its own window is a make/break thing for any chat mod I use.
***This is one of the only reasons in my opinion to use confab. Impementation of this feature would be awesome.
:::On another note, since the Wiki page is down, and has been down for the better part of a couple days, could someone tell me while on log-in, or reloading my UI that the default chat window selected always is always the right most tab? This happens to be the least used of my chat tabs, and it's a minor annoyance to always have to return the tab to 'General' to read most of my chat.
For PlayerNames in battlegrounds, I decided that colouring their names by class was more important to me than displaying the server name, so this small change (in the obvious place of idChat2_PlayerNames.lua fixes it:
local LocalName = string.gsub(Name, "(.-)-.*", "%1")
if self.Names[LocalName] then
Name = self.Names[LocalName]
Just updated this morning, and I seem to have lost timestamps on all sends to channels (guild, custom, general, etc). Says, emotes, etc still are getting timestamped.
so configure it?
edit: im not giving any insurance. thats why my addons are not found on addon sites.
I experienced what I thought was a bug in the latest update, and I wanted to let you know about it. Sorry.
After looking at the regexp in the lua, it turns out that the problem is that my timestamp string is set to [%H:%M] and since ChannelNames is replacing everything between [ and ] my timestamp is getting eaten.
So I guess my problem report is better rephrased as a feature request. It would be cool if ChannelNames did not replace timestamps with [ and ] characters.
yeah take a look in idChat2_Scroll/idChat2_Scroll.lua and in the function that scrolls (function idChat2_Scroll:Scroll()) youll find things like this:ScrollUp() and this:ScrollDown(). copy these lines to add more of them and you will scroll more.
To set chatframe3 to right justified -
/idchat justify chatframe3 right
They are working as intended for me. Please let me know if you have any problems with them.
Edit: Created the wiki pages. But since I cannot commit to the svn yet the toc sniffer thingy won't automagically bring in the information on the wiki yet. It is set up for when these are out on the svn though so be patient. :)
