I have been using this addon since it was first made and it an awesome mod. Glad to see it got ported to Ace2. :) But I have a small problem with it. I just downloaded the new EgoCast from the svn and when I log in I get this error:



Also it just stops working. My lua skills are limited at best but it looks like the code is right to me at least. lol. ;) Thxs for your help and keep up the good work.

Edit: I disabled all my mods except EgoCast and I still get the error.

Seems like your copy of ergocast isn't complete. Did you download from http://svn.wowace.com/files ?

Yep thats where I got it from. I seem to have fixed it, I just added AceHook-2.0 to the Libs folder and It's working great.

Edit: I thought it was working but I changed servers to play on my rogue and now he gets the message but my priest does not. :(

I give up lol now I get another error message:

I concur. Leave EgoCast alone. It works flawless in all situations. If you are having problems it is probably because of a conflict with something else.

It needs something like this in there.

No it doesn't, either you use it or you don't.

Without being more argumentative than this already is, it seems like you're saying "You either solo or you don't."

While soloing, selfcast is awesome stuff. While grouping, selfcast interferes with healing (at least the way I do it... click the spell, click the target.)

An on/off switch seems useful to me. (And yes, I've added it in mine.)

How do you get around this?

How do you get around this?

I use clickcast mod - clique to do healing and egocast works well with it.

My body is sufficiently broken such that click casting for me is limited to about one or two combinations for me (i.e., Shift-click or Ctrl-click, since ALT is used for TS). I use clique to supplement my healing, but for most healing I tend to combine a custom addon for spamming heals across the raid (a keybinding thing tied in with Squishy) with whack-a-mole healing on the raidframes.
