hehe, I was thinking about making it movable/lockable first but decided that's too much afford for such a little button. (at the moment I'm sick, I have the flue and my headaches keep me from thinking)
I think instead of linking to the download you should link to the page for the addon. When I click that link it just takes me to the main addon page on curse, doesn't download. It's linked to R2 instead of R3 anyway :P
Well, let it be known far and wide that AnduinLothar is a code thief. His toc file description even is exactly the friggin' same as AH_Wipe and unlike good coders, he doesn't even give credit for his ideas (if he had, it wouldn't have bothered me).
Neriak should sue him for copyright infringement. ;p
Thanks for pointing that out, Isharra. I don't know if he just added that comment on his forum or I missed it, so I apologize if it's my error and if I (almost) started something by my post. I looked at the code for credit and didn't find any, but as long as he's acknowledging that he based it on Neriak's, then I think that's cool. I have nothing against borrowing from addons as long as proper attribution is given. The shared nature of addon code has always been a good thing, in my opinion.
I won't release on c-g anymore. I'm totally pissed from people removing the bad dependency Ace. Really, that's the second time and I can't find anything cool by crippling my addon which ate a lot of my time to develope. From now on I only release here and at WOWI and ui.worldofwar.net. I posted a similar comment at c-g if anybody cares.
As I pointed out on IRC, the guy must be watching his addition like a Hawk. Originally (earlier version) the description read "this was inspired by Neriak's idea" or something to that effect, this really pissed me off because it looked like Neriak had suggested to AnduinLothar that such an Addon might be a good idea, as opposed to AnduinLothar having completely ripped off Neriak.
After my post, I found it was changed to something more along the lines of; "This is based on Neriak's Addon AH_Wipe and it's just a cheap rimshot at ace by removing it as a dependency". Which was more to the truth but he still should've included a link to the original project.
I might remember it wrong (since I just got up and I'm a bit drowsy.. :) ), but I do have a memory of something giving Neriak credit earlier as well, not just the "based on Neriaks idea", but a more clear credit.
In any case, for those that truly do not have one single ACE addon installing ACE would naturally feel a bit stupid, not that it's ever going to happen to me, but people like choices.
I think some are overreacting a bit, although AnduinLothar could and should have written more clear credits.
And now for something totally different... err I was able to log on finally. Reset button is not near the Auction frame (though it does work) and does not disappear when the Auction frame is closed. Ace 1.2.5 installed.
the button remaining was mentioned previously but I wasn't sure if the position info (above and to the right of the frame) would help any.
