Yet, to bring some useful comment here and not be completely off topic like you- another change is happening now from Blizzard regarding the addons - since they will change the game folder structure a bit in 8.1, hopefully this won't affect the Archy rewrite out there, though any hardcoded paths may require some attention there. Still trying to keep the hope alive that we may see Archy raise from its glorious ashes before the next Expansion hits the market.

For the people that want a working addon, a addon that,sadly doesn't do all the things Archy does but still some parts, you can check out minimal archaeology
So true. Archy made me want to continue with the profession. Without it archaeology seems stale and boring. The UI had enough bells and whistles to at least make the activity look cool and had just a hint of "autopilot" so that you could tune out a bit while doing it. I don't do archaeology on any of my toons since this addon went kaput which testifies to not only my laziness but also the impact of this addon.
TO THE AUTHOR OF THE ADDON: I love you man for doing this! Could you throw us a bone and post an update? If you no longer feel the passion, thats cool. But if thats the case maybe you can pass the torch?
What if Torhal is working secretly with Blizzard on a new and improved archaeology interface? Yes I'm probably just dreaming but archaeology has remained pretty much untouched since its addition in Cataclysm except for some minor QoL stuff. It's time to give it some love.
I just wanted to say, that yes, while Archy did make it more tolerable, Blizzard did make some changes that makes it a little easier. I've been doing it again at least, using default interface and Minimal Archaeology, and it is possible. The biggest thing i miss is the tracking of the dig sites to point you in the direction of the closest one. I would just like to know one way or the other, do i go ahead and delete this addon, or do i keep hoping it will someday come up as having an update available in Twitch? (which i'm not fond of, miss curse client)

Doing archaeology without this addon is literal cancer. Plz update we are begging you!
Any Updates on Archy's status or ETA? Hate doing it without this addon. Makes it go from PitA to semi-fun.
