I have all the character slots used up on one account, all but one is working fine...no Fubar. I call up Bugsack and it's showing errors for mods that are not even installed and I deleted the wtf files for them...what gives? I deleted the whole wtf folder for that toon..
In the latest revisions, a FuBar bug that has been around since before the internets has finally been fixed.
I am of course talking of the bug where my fubar elements owuld randomly swap position and/or bar number completely.
Good job on the fix, and I like the new configuration panel, finally no more dodgy dropdowns with tooltips that overlapped said dropdown selection (yes VolumeFu, I'm looking at you...)
Are they still in the Saved Variables folder for that account? Try running the saved variables cleanup in WAU.
I wiped out all the saved variables for that toon, then loaded JUST Fubar and Volumefu ( for testing purposes)..Fubar showed up...but in the menu Volumefu did not show.In the Rock config u can actually see addons loaded..volumefu did show as being loaded.I posted it as a bug, maybe it is something with the profiles.OH...Bugsack was loaded too, and there was an error..( but I used the chat command "BugSack show all" and I went to the last error. For some reason it showed an earlier version of Fubar, but I heard the BugSack error noise on login)..so I really don't know wth is causing it on just one toon.
I want to say great job on the add-on. I don't know what I'd do without FuBar People need to keep in mind that when they are using the WowAceUpdater they are signing up to be downloading beta code. The website clearly, and in BOLD print I might add, states this but most people that whine about such things rarely read or pay attention to such warnings. Also thanks for the super fast updates during this transition period that has helped make the transition to 3.0 as smooth as possible.
As of build 49474.8 the setting issue seems to be resolved.
Regarding the Rock configuration I didn't like it at first but now that I've given it a chance it is actually quite nice and I like it better than the old configuration. It's actually pretty nice to have everything in one config panel. (recommendation for those that think it is too big and intrusive to the UI, go into the rock settings and scale it down. I set my to about 75% and it is much nicer and doesn't feel so "in your face")
Thanks again for a fantastic add-on and keep up the excellent work!
Is there a way to change the font used on the bars? I'm using ClearFont2 but can't find any setting to change the font for the bars. Any hint would be appreciated.

The recent porting of various fubar libraries to Rock completely borked half of my fubar addons. They won't show in the center of the fubar and instead are drawing right over the top of other fubar addons on the left or right sides. argh.

I had some layout issues with FuBar when I finally converted to FuBar3. I ended up going into my SavedVariables folder and nuke the FuBar files. Everything works great now. Seems the change b0rked the SV files.

I know whining is dangerous these days, but I'm not too keen on the redundancy of having to run both ace2 and rock, nor on dealing with drycoded, shoot-from-the-hip changes. Regardless of intentions, the Wowace SVN trunk is a distribution point for end-users, and dry-coded changes belong on a branch. That's how it works at my job, and if you check broken code into the trunk you get a singing purple Barney with a large green foam cowboy hat on your desk as a mark of shame for being a cowboy coder.
Nothing you get from the files page or off of WAU was never intended to be bug-free (or even dry-code free), and was never intended to be used as a distribution point. You've been around here long enough to know that, HunterZ. :) When using WAU or updating your addons, *ALWAYS* back up. WAU even warns you to before you go running a mass update. Never expect to not have any bugs when using "bleeding edge" updates.

and as i said, despite intentions it is in fact the distribution point for Ace (and now Rock and even some other non-Ace) addons. Many authors who actively maintain addons on the SVN trunk don't release "release versions" anywhere else. I'm just trying to plant a seed to get the developers to realize this and maybe change their thinking a little bit, because really anyone who thinks that the SVN trunk is not an end-user distribution point at this stage is deluding themselves :P

Where is my pitbull button on the fu gone???
It has been eaten by your new Rock-configuration screen :) (Either click on the rock icon ataached to ur minimap or use /rock)
Seconded, I want the button back. The menus were faster to navigate than Rock is.
Yes that would be awesome:)

Woot! - it's fixed?
I've scanned the other forums but can't find similar affirmatives for Cartographer and ToFu, are they working too now?
