I've been patiently maintaining all my FuBar addons that I use for a good long time now, I have no intent to switch to an LDB solution just yet. I just want to fix one little Font Problem (I'm sure other people have ran into similar things with other mods, just need to figure out what the problem is) so I can keep using FuBar. :-)

Besides, I have no desire to swap to any LDB addon's, as I have 10 FuBar addons I already use (which are all working on 3.3). So if I was to swap to a LDB display I would just be using FuBar2Broker to display them all. Kind of seems like I'm defeating the purpose here.

Same prob here. Dont really want to change from FuBar- but if the font and drag problem isnt going to be fixed, i think Bazooka is the best ldb broker bar choice for Fubar migraters if the want similar function, look n feel. At least addon placement (left,right, w and w/o icons/text seems to be possible)

Quick fix to get FuBar working again:

Replace ALL instances of "GetFrameType" with "GetObjectType" in ALL files. This is a problem with several addons with 3.3.

I have asked myself that question.
I also gave myself answers and started replacement searching.
So far all the LDB bars I have tried fall short. I have not tried them all ~yet~. That is still an ongoing process. If I find one that fully replaces FuBar's functions I will post it here.

TitanPanel came close but failed. I could not place the plugins left, center, and right as I pleased. Also didn't see a way to have it place the button on the minimap like I do with some of the plugins.

Some of the LDB rewrites of the FuBar plugins are not as feature rich.
Some of the FuBar plugins do not work with Fubar2Broker.


This is not simply an easy as 1, 2, 3 move to something else.
If it was "easy as pie" to move you can be assured that most people would have moved by now rather than put up with the issues at hand.

Bazooka works well now.

The only important thing missing in Bazooka that I use in FuBar is the ability to attach a plugin onto the minimap. Not sure how easy that is to implement.

I still have some plugins that don't work with fubar2broker and/or the broker version isn't as functional. Or isn't available at all. Hopefully I can get this situation solved in the near future.

The addon is fucking DEAD, you are lucky it was such a fucking small change that no work was involved, unlike Cartographer2 which seems is going to finally fucking die for good this patch.

If it's such a hassle for you to maintain FuBar and Cartographer2 why doesn't your name get removed then? Why not let someone who DOES care about mods take them over?


J-random comments in a thread most people don't even know about is not a good way to let people know the status of anything....period.

How about this....
If these mods REALLY ARE dead why don't you, or better yet, someone civil, put a message in those mod descriptions saying they are dead and why?
Sure, people will whine anyway, but at least it's an official announcement. Why make everyone shuffle around in limbo wondering what's up and when things will get fixed?

This worked perfectly .... not only with FuBar, but a few other mods as well. Thanks for the tip!

Just for further edification, none of the 'fubar replacement displays' or any other LDB display will allow you to create minimap buttons. Minimap buttons have to be written into each individual LDB addon. So if the author didn't write a MM button option, there will not be a MM button for that addon, period.

You can always get YssDrop which can reside either on Bazooka (or any other LDB display) or you can put it on the minimap

Except if you use Barrel - it's an LDB-display which creates MM-buttons.

Has anyone looked to see why fubar is completely broken on the ptr?

It's not broken. Install the latest LibJostle-3.0 alpha.
