Also, the UpdateTooltip/OnTooltipUpdate discrepency is to prevent the evil hooking that was happening in 1.2. Now UpdateTooltip checks for disabled state and whether the tooltip is open, if it is, then OnTooltipUpdate is properly run.
Am I just not looking in the right place for them or has practically no authors converted their plugins to fubar 2.0 yet? I have done a couple conversions myself but I would rather not have to convert them all heh. Are the authors all being lazy since ck released the FuBar-compat-1.2? I mainly wanna be able to completely remove the old Ace/XxxLib libraries, but with noone updating it isn't possible yet ;p
[...] Are the authors all being lazy since ck released the FuBar-compat-1.2? [...]
It's not that people are being 'lazy'. FuBar-2.0 is structored rather differantly than 1.2 (from what I've seen) and the documentation for it is still rather fresh. People are still soaking it all in.
If you're really that impatient you could always start working on 2.0 conversions yourself :)

As I said in my post, I already have done some of the conversions. I just don't want to continue taking the time to do it if it was up somewhere that I didn't see, which is the reason for my post.
The only conversions you really need to do at the moment are any plug-ins that are only 1.0 compliant, all the 1.2 versions shoudl work with no problems. I am currently working on a 2.0 version of my plug-in which will have some new features that are easier to implement in Ace2. you usually won't see many updates till after a major patch anyway and as mentioned earlier the docs for FuBar 2.0 were just generated and we're going through them now. You can always try and contact authors through these forums, WoWInterface.com and ui.worldofwar.net
It also donsen't look like FuBar 2.0 is on WoWI yet either. So that means "the rest of the world" is still useing 1.2 (and releaseing new 1.2 plugins :()
Thank you Global for WhisperCastFu2, and AtlasFu2 too ^^
Not a problem at all. I'll probably just release the AtlasFu as a new mod on WoWI since there's not a single line of original code left. Was anyone able to take a look at the disabled menu I was talking about on the last page?
Couldn't find any mention of this when I searched the thread, but I've found severals addons don't seem to remember their positions. I wondered why this happens.
For example ammo_fu seems; If it's disabled on one profile (example:Druid) and you log out then in again it'll be on the minimap.
Or, with the example of BigWigs and Bugsack they never remember whether they were put on the minimap and don't seem to have per profile saving. Per porfile I don't mind, but I'd like to keep them on the minimap.
Anyway, does anyone know why these things would occur?
Yeah I thought they were too. I've been playing with new fu addons today, so mabye I broke something.
I think I'll gut my fubar folders and do a full download from the SVN.
Edit:
Fresh install of Fubar and it's plugins, plus a wipe of my FuBar type saved variables has netted the same result.
Bigwigs, Bugsack, and Squishy all refuse to remember that they're set to attach to the minimap.
Also when my characters are set to use non-default profiles (to be specific, I have class:druid, class:warrior and one character specific profile (for my bank alt)) I have trouble with disabled plugins appearing on my minimap, or not being enabled on the right profile. When using a single 'default' profile it works much better (with the exception of bigwigs/bugsack/squishy which never remember their positioning settings (but they do remember their mod settings o.o)).
TBH I'm going to put it down to 1.0 / 1.2 version plugins conflicting with FuBar 2.0 and Ace2 profiling. Hopefully once FuBar 2.0 is out properly plugin developers will switch over. In the mean time I'll live with it :)
ckknight: With some FuTwo plugins seeping onto WoWI, and other mods starting to use the FuPlugin-2.0 librarys (BigWigs), how quickly can we expect to see an 'offical' release candidate up on the major sites?
FuBar2 is working great for me, most older plugins work fine with FuBar-compat-1.2
One issue I'm having is that plugins aren't saving their location properly. I'll move around things, ReloadUI or Logout, and the plugins are in random places. I've seen this mostly with some of the newer Plugins, like MailFu and FactionsFu
The FuBar plugin that OneView adds wasn't remaining disabled for me. Though I haven't actually bothered disabling it in the last week, so that might have been fixed without me noticing.

same problem, even worse if 2 or more panels enabled

I have same problem with Squishy and BugSack plugins... I have to adjust them everytime I log in my character.

Much cleaner design this way.

I've tested it very minimally, and nothing seems broken. We shall see whether this continues.

Have you updated everything recently? These sound like old bugs.

Soon I hope :)

Man I miss those little Icons hehe.
Update from the SVN. I get no errors from tcg_Tradeskills. I did prior to updating though.
Good luck.
