Is there a display that similutes FuBar's functionality? Primarily, I'm looking for a bar to go across the top of the screen that can be hidden unless moused over. Thanks :)

ButtonBin, though not out-of-the-box - you'll need to mess with configs.
A long time ago, I switched from Titan to Fubar. I had a reason, but I no longer remember what it was. It was something, though, that made Fubar in some sense a better choice. Smaller memory footprint, more efficient code, better selection (for me, anyway) of plugins, something. So it occurs to me to wonder why, if I'm going to abandon Fubar, I should switch back to Titan. <shrug>

...because you started your post with "A long time ago".
Titan has been completely overhauled and is now quite small memory-wise and vastly more efficient CPU-wise. It actually gives FuBar a run for its money in those areas now because Tristanian has put much effort into trying to get rid of the bad reputation Titan garnered with its old code.
Also, Titan is now an LDB display whereas FuBar is not.
The left/right/center thing is a design choice and for the most part a matter of personal preference. FuBar is still superior in terms of moving/resizing and multiple/individual bars instead of 2, although the only use I could personally find for them, is in customized UI's. I'd like to keep things more simple (though I completely understand any other opinions). On a side note, I'm still not done with some Ace3 conversions and generally polishing which should be done, once I have more time for development. At the moment, I'm enjoying the expansion like (hopefully) everyone else.

Meh. I'm in that insane half/half land where I get a quarter of a level and ideas for code sporadically pop into my head - mostly due to an addon I'm using not functioning as I want or the absence thereof.

I Did Not Know That (the overhaul part, I did know about the LDB part). I'm going to go give it a whirl.
And many of the plugins can't be set to left or right anyway, which is even more annoying. Titan still doesn't have height customizability either, or the ability to separate font scale from bar scale.
Part of the problem with, for example, Fortress, is that it's perma-clamped to the screen, making it impossible replicate FuBar unless you're willing to have a much larger "bar". And the contortions necessary to set up three sets of buttons, in a mod that has no standard profiling... /weep.
I've been struggling with both Button Bin and Fortress to try to replicate my Fubar settings. Button Bin looked promising but lacks center justification and the ability to turn labels off individual icons rather than bins. I did try the instructions Torhal posted to mimic my Fubar display with left/center/right icons but it wasn't the same. Without a center justification, one side or the other will always be a bit off.
Fortress is just a dog to set up properly and can't really match Fubar's expandability/spacing options when it comes to placing/adding icons.

As for the center-justification: You're exactly right. As a workaround, though, I use Align to center it.
You can turn the labels off by going to the datablock section of the config, selecting the plugin in question, then checking the "Override Bin Defaults" box.

Thanks for that. I couldn't quite figure out the labels bit so I thought it wasn't a per-plugin option. As for Align, I do use it, but I couldn't make the alignment between the 3 bins (left/center/right) exactly like I wanted it. Perhaps I just need more medication (or less :p ). For now, I guess I'll keep using Fubar 3.5, B2F, and hope for the best.

It does. What Titan lacks, however, is the ability to segment data - no left/center/right sections.

I wasn't aware of the apparently very significant overhaul of Titan. Guess I'll have to check it out.

A true FuBar LDB is very much needed.
I have to agree.

Might I suggest giving GraphPaper a try, it has a few more options that may help you get it just the way you want.
Yes please :)
Thanks. I'll give that a try. :)
