I... found an interesting annoyance since these last few tweaks to Fortress and F2B. I don't know which one is causing it, that's why I'm making a seperate thread. I think that every time an addon records data and displays it via a tooltip on mouseover is now being triggered when ever it's data changes. For instance AuditorFu pops up it's tooltip after I loot (wih out mousing over it), and I think tekability pops out when ever my armor status changes. Not sure on that second one, have to give it a quick test again soon. =)
I've noticed the same situation with Baggins' FuBar module. It doesn't happen all the time, but every once in a while there will be a period where whenever my bags are opened, the Baggins FuBar manu will appear.
Also noticed some weirdness with FuBar_TransporterFu hijacking the tooltip of any other addon every few seconds when it's tracking a Hearthstone cooldown.
I'm trying to avoid FuBar modules as much as possible, but have yet to find a suitable replacement for TransporterFu. I started attempting to modify CrazyBenny's Broker_Portals to include more functionality, but now I'm stuck (see my thread in "Addon Ideas" for details, and if you can help out).
Hmm... thinking about it, would that thread be better served in this forums (or a different one)?
Is everyone experiencing this using r70 of F2B? If so, please try reverting to r69 and let me know if it still happens.
r70 includes a fix from Borlox to force tooltips to show under certain conditions because many people were reporting not being able to get tooltips to show at all (after 1 or 2 times), and I'm thinking that maybe this is causing the behavior.
If I've got a something that's updating in a tooltip (such as the cooldown of my Hearthstone in TransporterFu), if I look at the tooltip of any other addon, within a few second the tooltip of the addon I'm looking at closes and the tooltip of TransporterFu displays (or nothing displays, but the tooltip ofthe addon I'm looking at still closes).
Thanks. I was thinking of something along the same lines, but had no idea if it would work or not. I'd be interested to see if this fixes it for people - if so then I'll push it to the curse.com page as a beta.
