The Summary is (more or less) in the Log ;) I can make something prettier if you use the "Update All" Feature. But my priority right now is to check what to update before updating it. Same goes for the Changelogs.
getting this error while checking for new addons .. any idea ?
Unable to cast object of type 'System.Object' to type 'System.String'.
at Waddu.AddonSites.SiteWowSpecial.GetVersion(Mapping mapping)
at Waddu.Classes.WorkerThread.ThreadProc(Object param)
and keep up that nice work !!
edit: after checkin a few pages back in this thread ..
i think you also want to know the concerning addon .. for me it seems to be CT_RaidTracker
First of all, let me tell you i realy like your program. I have a feature request to let the user specify some custom addon mappings in a seperate file - something like user_mappings.xml which will have higher priority than the default mappings.xml, of course. A good comparison would be when I want to use a cloned repository on wowace instead of the default repository.
@copystring: Good Idea. Can you show me how a Mapping for a Cloned Repository looks like?
I cleaned up most of the code within the last days and reorganized all Files since Waddu now contains more than 60 Code Files and it's still growing...
Also I'm still looking for people who would like to Redesign the UI and / or would like to help developing. If you're interested, feel free to have a look at the code and contact me.
I think that could interrest the Linux users :) ...
I have testet WADDU under Arch Linux. With Mono i get an error message and the program will not start. But under Wine it works fine. I have installed .Net 2.0 (with winetricks it's easy) and 7-Zip under Wine. Then WADDU will work with a little bit graphic bugs (Screen under Arch Linux and KDE 4.1.3: http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/9520/waddutm4.png).
I'm positive about having a release ready by tomorrow.
I had a deeper look at Version Numbers and realized that it seems almost impossible to implement the "What needs updating" check primarily on Version Numbers. So the next Release will use an approach most other updaters us. I will create a local File with Informations, when you last updated which Addon. And on Checking it will check all mappings for your addons if one is newer and use the mapping with the newest "Change Date" for updating (unless you forced Waddu to always use a specific mapping).
I'm thinking for a first version on a 3-way updating (first check, then resolve conflicts manually (like same date but different version number), then updating)
You know, there's level 80 now and I want to get there somewhen so I spent some time playing this weekend
But I've implemented the update by date check and run it every day. No problems so far. Will have to do some No-Lib testing and small fixes in the ChangeLog Viewer and release that Version soon. So stay patient.
