I just realized that the green puzzle piece icon is used in Firefox. Do you guys have permission to use that?
That is the image from firefox and to the best of my knowledge our usage falls under the MPL. We'll be including a legal notices section before release as well.
With the latest version of CC4 if you try to close the client (which I have set to stay in the system tray on close) while it is updating it asks if you really want to close it. This didn't happen with other beta versions I assume it is a bug:)
Is it just me, or does CC4 keep creating a desktop shortcut for itself? It's sort of annoying. When I throw an icon in the bin I expect it to stay there, LOL. ;)
Why would that be a bug? Accidentally closing while you're updating some addon does bad things.
Because I am not closing I am minimizing and this is a new behavior all the other betas did not do that and I have had no problem closing it while it updated.

Tools -> Options, uncheck the option to automatically add a shortcut to desktop.
Any word on whether or not we'll be getting manual control over Curse Profiler uploads? I'm noticing the in-game memory usage of the addon is starting to climb again and I have no idea what exactly I have to do to get it to dump over to you guys. I've tried having CC4 open from before the game is launched until after I exit and nothing changes.
I really want to help submit information to the Curse DB, but if the addon WTF keeps getting bigger and bigger then I'm just going to have to stop. :S
I just switched to windows 7 x64 with comodo internet security. and now everytime I restart my computer I got a window telling me that comodo and curse client can have problem together. Can you make sure that this window is only displayed once. also the shortcut on the desktop is added back everytime can you make sure it's not added back once I've deleted it.
Wowace-Updater switched to .NET-install, didn't work on multiuser systems where the user does not have file-admin and is the one running WoW, anymore.
Now Curse4 switches to .NET-install, and what do you know, Microsoft still cannot do installs on their own goddamn OS. Amazing company making that .NET Framework, really. Has to install as Admin, uses a folder in the Admin's Settings to save the downloaded client. To which the non-admin user has no access, ofc.
I finally got around to updating from v. 3. I'm running this on Win7 64bit. It installed without any trouble, found my addons, and all works seamlessly. I don't mean to dismiss anyone else having problems, just adding another data point.
Two things:
1. From a UI standpoint, you have both a button labeled "Tools" and a menu labeled "Tools" and they do different things. They should either be relabeled or made identical.
2. It would be nice to see some jumplist options for Windows 7. Right now it only has the basic. Using this instead of the tray icon on Windows 7 would be a good idea. What I'd really love would be to be able to add other items to the jumplist, for example, the Mob Map updater. But that's probably beyond the scope.

Renaming the icon and unchecking the shortcut option worked around this, but it's still weird :P

Just great...
