You're not going to like this, but try deleting all your add-ons (after backing them up) and reinstalling them manually through the Curse Client. This is easy and straightforward, and will ensure it matches up the add-ons you expect. Take this time to also check each add-on to see if the author has updated it for 3.0, because if they haven't, no amount of updater magic will save it. For major WoW version upgrades, this should be everyone's mode of operation anyway.
CC should have been released either A. Not at all, B. Ages ago before 3.0 so all the bugs could be worked out or C. After 3.0. It would have been better to let the WUA crash the server's every 5mins, at least that way sooner or later people would have their addon's updated and working the way they wanted them and their wouldn't be pressure on to make the CC perform for it's big day which it has clearly failed at.
I have read the reason why CC is needed but who ever is in charge of brining it to the mass's you have failed personaly (prove us all wrong and show us how CC is working brilliantly at its job). You should have knowen there was going to be problems with a new program and not taken away the working program (who instatues a program change and not leaves the door open for a roll back when things turn our exactly like this and the new program is suppose to work and doesnt) and put this beta (yeah right it feels more like an early alpha) program out there and said look go use it does nothing the old client does but its teh awesomeness.

...and better for Kaelten to have to pay enormous bandwidth bills than to take away everyone's shiny toy.

I agree, it's not production-quality software. The reason it was rolled out BEFORE 3.0.2 was for the reason I mentioned above. Unfortunately, it didn't achieve a completely-working status beforehand.
Please, people: Put your fucking flamethrowers down and go update your addons from the release sites. Behaving in this manner isn't going to get the job done for you.
What we should be doing is flaming Blizzard. I can't login to WoW right now to save my life! Oh wait, why was I expecting anything different?

Is the server currently borked? Because I cant log in with the client at the moment. Just says unknown error... or perhaps its just the fact that there are hordes of people trying to update their addons :P

And what kind of frontpage is that on www.wowace.com? There should be an announcement for users who come here don't knowing whats going on. Not some walloftext for developers who know whats going on anyway.

There is a feature i would like to see... when ever things are backed up (like patch days) if i attempt to force an update through the client, it currently shows a pop up saying "addon install queued" which quickly disappers with no way to tell if the client still intends to do what you asked it to...
could we possibly get a visble list for this "install queue"

I just wonder if it will work now with Auto-Update

You took the red pill?
Damn that red pill. Gets me every time.
Edit: Wait, I think it was the blue pill.
Yes.
I think CC in its current state aint too bad. 2.0.0.14 works very well and has some new nice options.
i liked wau better you just clicked update addons and it updated them.
this curse client i finally got in but it is not showing any of my addons...grrrr.
I'm curious as to how many people made accounts just to say how pissed off they were. :)
gotta vent somewhere lol. still cannot figure out why the curse client wont show me my addons.
do you have to go the premium route to get the curse client to work?
No. Right now, everyone has a free premium trial. After that, you can still use the client but it won't have an Update All button.
lol what update all button? it does not show that i have any addons installed to update.

Now if only World of Warcraft would work........ hmm.
