I fire up CC3 every evening that I play, just to see what's new. Most of the time there's nothing to update, or nothing that I want to update. It works fine up through last night.
As of a couple minutes ago, nearly everything is showing up with the "locally modified" alert icon. None of the files have actually changed. What's triggering this and how do I stop it? I looked for odd timestamps, but the files of the reported addons haven't been modified for a couple months or longer.
Hacka please. :-p I know better than to mess with TOC numbers, and I will chew my own left testicle off before I run wowmatrix.
I can't see a pattern to which addons are incorrectly marked as locally modified, and which are fine. Many, but not all of them, are my own little kludge addons hosted on curse, and I know there have been no changes to them, local or otherwise. Some of my other curse-hosted addons are (correctly) not marked.
One thing i found is to start fresh, no addons. No Updater(s).
Install CC & Install mods from Curse.
Install Minion & Mark everything that comes up in that list as "Ignore Permanently"
Then install addon from WoWI that arn't on Curse, like Lightheaded.
Works well for me on 3 different times installing wow.
The only updater in use is CC3. There are only a couple of addons I use that aren't already on curse in some form or fashion, and those I just get by hand.

I am intrigued by such flexibility. >_>
