I was able to get JWU to load on my Mac after I changed the default jvm to Java6 (64-bit). But, pressing the "Handle Addons" button does nothing.
I'm using JWU on my Mac aswell, but I don't have any Problems at all (except updating from WoWInterface, but I suppose they're still using the Low Bandwidth site :D ).
Maybe you should try to clear your Java Cache and/or load the Updater again.
JWU is of now a discuntinued project, i dont have the energy to keep fighting the small hurdles that seems to appear on wowace and curse all the time.
Thank you all for the time you used JWU, and may your time with Curse Client be as happy as your time with JWU.

Small hurdles? I too noticed all the silly stuff and invisible fake addons/text/links they made (trying to conserve bandwidth? Yeah right...adding extra kilobytes sure helps...). As I said before it's pretty clear that mammon is the drive here - they have an interest in having the only updater on the market be theirs - and that people should pay to have it working right.
I'm sorry to see JWU go like this - it was always the best updater for Linux.
Thanks for all the hard work you put into this updater! Your work saved me a lot of time and made WoW a much better experience overall.
Well you don't have much choice around Thrillseeker ;)
rolfba thanks for the great program, used it too before the transition. Its death was inevitable, however :/

Thank you for your work with JWU. It's sad to see you go.
In fact all this is sad to see happen. JWU was the last updater I could use. I don't blame you, rolfba, I can see that you don't have the energy to keep on fighting and understand that your thesis is much more important.
I'm not a coder, but is there someone to farm the code out to while you're busy elsewhere (if you're so inclined)?
I offered to take it over, but as someone else pointed out Curse and Wowace are making things very difficult for anyone save the Curse Client to update from the two sites. It's a battle that will not be won. I would suggest continuing to use JWU2 with sites like WowInterface.com, or use CC (yes, I know it's not perfect).

It was a great piece of code and was very well done. I completely understand. I know that part of the problem is that other programs pulled voraciously to their own sites (WoWMatrix) and it is what has caused some of these bandwidth issues.
I wish you well Rolf...be proud in knowing that you made a great program and people loved you for it. :)
Meh, they should just rework JWU into the new Curse Client. It's so much superior it lacks any scale of measurement. Plus it works with more than just curse. ;)

Thanks for all your effort, rolfba!

u want someone to punch, go visit the people at wowmatrix for it.
ye sure :P
Please don't stop JWU!!! We love this updater, truly appreciate all your efforts and want it to continue. Paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalease!
Real Life trumps WoW life.
Time spent on JWU is time not spent on his thesis (among other things).

Good luck with it, then.

:( Thanks for all the time and effort you put into JWU, it was easily the best updater out there.
