-On Vista, clicking the X to close the window doesn't work for a config window only such as the whitelist, it works for the actual program window.
-I basically just installed this with a current set of addons, yet the first time it runs it wants to reinstall all my AddOns, any particular reason?
-How do i go about updating addons that are not on wowace, simply? It seems the only way is to manually add every single one with the 'Handle non ace addons' (also rename this to handle non wowace AddOns, since not all are ace anyway) It would be better if you had a button for 'Update All AddOns', 'Update WoWAce AddOns', 'Update Curse AddOns' etc. Also notice capital A capital O :)

1. I might make the windows closeable by pressing the X instead of using a button, but i dont think its that big of a problem.
2. I cant be 100% sure what it is, but i guess its updating to make sure you have the external / non external version according to what you choose in the config window. Im not sure of a way to determine if a specefic addon is installed with or without externals, so JWU reinstalls the "right" one according to your settings, and then knows where it is from then on.
3. I dont want to make several update buttons, the idea has always been that you ran JWU, pushed 1 update button, and then its done. Regarding non wowace addons, then yes you have to set each one up, as it needs the site the addon is avaliable from, and the id on that site. I dont really see any benefits from having several update buttons. And wow might spell AddOns with capital A and O, but i spell it Addons, or addons :)
1.86:
- Fixed error with non wowace addons which had a space charachter in their download filename. (Ex: x-perl from curse).
- Renamed Non Ace, to Non WowAce.
- Fixed an error which would keep reinstalling a non wowace addon, if you repeatedly pressed Update, without rescanning.
For some reason it doesn't seem to actually install addons for me at this time. I'm not sure why, it finds addons and I threw some none ace ones in there fine etc but when I tell it to install or update it doesn't touch my addons at all, it says it's updated/installed addons but that's just not the case for some reason. Would there be any reason for this at all? Didn't want to post this on your gcode as a 'bug' cause I believe it may be something I'm doing wrong, or something I've overlooked.
I believe, like I said, that this is an isolated issue for me only. I've been hearing nothing of this nature from anyone else really. I'd love to get this fixed for me since I'd prefer to use this updater as opposed to just wowace since, well, this is a little sexier but most importantly it will do none ace addons... which is amazing, cause not ALL freakin' addons are ace and the convenience of an auto updater is pointless if you can only update 'most' of your addons but not all. *shakes fist at WoWAceUpdater.
EDIT: And yes it did auto update and still didn't do anything for me.
Do you want me to include my config file or something? so you can tell me I'm a moron?

Sounds to me like you've chosen the wrong pathname.. -or- you're using vista and its UAC thing is preventing file modifications..

Could you write the path to wow you have set in your config, and if your using Vista or XP.
Sunday, 3 PM EST.
After prog update.
Of my non Ace addons, the following are alwayd found for an update.
multimail
Bongos2
From Curse.
Just tested both Multimail and Bongos2 from Curse, with the latest JWU 1.86. And i am not getting the same problem.
Are you using v 1.86?
If so, could you copy/paste the output of the update window after a rescan and an update so i can see what it writes. And also please upload your JWowUpdater.log somewhere after running an update, so i can have a look into it.
Um, I keep getting told "No addons found on wowace.com, check internet connection or that wowace isnt offline atm." My connection is fine and I can see the files on wowace. Its entirely possible Im being a moron, any help greatly appreciated.

Hi, i just tested it this morning, and seems to be working fine for me. Could you try raising the socket timeout a bit in the config? It might just be wowace which is a bit longer than usual to respond.

Ditto this! Been this way (for me) for two days now. I raised the socket timeout in the JWoWUpdater config to 30 seconds.
First off, I love the addon updater. However, since I used it it installed a total of 49 libraries.. I'm no longer certain which ones I actually use. I know that previous to using jWowUpdater, I did NOT have 49 libraries.

Is there any way to install ONLY the ones I need?
JWU tries to install only the libraries that your installed addons state they need.
Unfortunatelt, this means it might install, for instance, ParserLib, Parser-3.0, -and- LibParser-4.0. However LibParser4 how "compatibility layers" that allow it to work in place of the other two. GratuityLib + LibGratuity do the same. As does Abacus, Crayon, and Tourist.
You what you're saying its going to install it COULD use, instead of what it actually DOES use?
I'm a little irritated to have a grand total of 89 addons now.. and 49 of them are new since I used jWowUpdater.
No.. it installed WHAT THE ADDON SAID IT NEEDS.. If that addon is wanting the older version, then thats what it gets. Period.
What I was -saying- was, the reason it was working WITHOUT THE NEEDED LIB was because a few of the newer libs have compatibility layers that allow it to behave like the older lib.
Don't blame the updater. Blame the addon author for not updating his addon.

I cant seem to replicate this error at all, so i need more info :)
