But it's still in the class rollercoasting (i still recall screenshots from SV hunters reaching 4000DPS from the early days of beta)
I'm not sure what you are talking about, all the classes are now going through the refinement process, making sure the talent or skill is working within the parameters set for the skill, all the balancing and scaling issues are done and just getting tweaked to release status.
As for the whole cusrefoge "fiasco", just be glad someone stepped up to keep WoWAce runing and available to those that use it, without curse, the site would have to shutter up
I'm not quite sure about that. WAR is polished and working - and fun. Yeah, Wrath is fun too (I'm in the beta - although the only European realm is lagging, crashing and almost unplayable many times), but the game has a strong rival now.
I think Net was refering to yet to be released which would exclude WAR. But yes, WAR is by far one of the best releases since the original wow.
honem, I've not primarily had a free service for years, but I've contributed to this community like many other addon developers (and if you'd take a look at my >1000 postings, you'll see that I've been doing free support for years).
I guess it's our right to express our concerns with the decision Kaelten has made (and the fact that he's been hired by curse obviously explains why). Personally, I have a serious problem with IGN (google a bit and you might find out why), and I'm still strongly considering if any of the addons I originally developed (and now are maintained by others) shall in future be hosted by IGN (with them making money providing access to my intellectual property).
Currently I'm strongly convinced moving to github or any other website that's not owned by IGN is the way to go. Even if that might drastically reduce the number of users of these addons. And the fact that in the future we'll only have one proprietary addon downloader that does not disclose its source code does not make things better.
I would like to express my opinion of the wowace-curse "merge".
I am not an "active" member developing addons for the community but what I liked in wowace with the wiki and the forums and all the guys working for so many hours for their fun and pleasure to help others play the game better in a free and open manner.
Now that wowace has established a great range of addons that are way much better structure than the ones being demonstrated on Curse (using libs, having a better way to interoperate) it's getting merged cause if I read well the man behind the idea of wowace is working for Curse now.
Well I have to say a big grats to Kaelten for his new job. But all those guys developing addons in here where doing this for a reason... did anyone asked the most popular (in an addon popularity-usage manner) guys what they think about it?
It's like sourceforge is going to merge with a company and not asking anyone in there.
I hope you can understand what I am writing because it maybe not be very comprehensive.

First you start off quoting a message that's roughly two months old, showing that you kinda grasp the usage of the forums. Then, you completely blow that idea out of the water by not reading the forums at all (except, it seems, that single message) before making a post of your own. Granted, you didn't jump on here like so many have with "OMFG YOU BROKEDED MUH ADDON BUTTON!", but you're still doing nothing more than making assumptions.

I've actually been working for Curse for two years now. And they've done a lot for the wowace community from behind the scenes.
I also liberally consulted anyone who'd talk to me over the last several months about my plans and whats going on.
