I just got a new machine and I copied my entire WoW folder from my old computer (running XP) onto my new machine running Vista over my home network.
For some reason the WoWUpdater that I just downloaded will not find my addons folder. Under the preferences screen I browse to my World of Warcraft folder (at the base C: drive) but the settings keep reverting back to C:\Users\....
Wow, I almost wend mad over this. The FAQ did not list this either. I had permissions all right, moved wow into a new directory and it would not freaking work. If I picked the wow folder, it wouldd add it like
c:/games/wow
When I did what was said above and manually entered it to c:games/wow/ with another / it worked. If you read this, this should get into the FAQ cause I am sure other guys using vista are having a headache over this.
