hey,

I used the WAU for quite a long time now. but today i had some problems:

when I started it I got an error from my vista, it was something like:

dfsvc.exe is not working well anymore

so I just deleted the WAU folder an tryed to install it again but there was the same error again.
so I looked in this forum and found this:

4) I have a corrupt ClickOnce cache WTF is that, and what am I supposed to do about it?

This means that windows is confused about what applications you have installed.

You should uninstall WAU using the control panel.

Vista: Delete C:\Users\***\AppData\Local\apps\2.0

XP: Delete C:\Documents and Settings\***\Local Settings\Application Data\apps\2.0

Also: You may need to delete the following registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Deployment\SideBySide

Install using the info in #1 above.

Because I google-searched a bit for dfsvc.exe I knew it was something about windows framework. so I just did what I read in this
topic and now the error is gone BUT i cant install WAU anymore.
when I try it with IE at this page:
http://www.wowace.com/wau/publish.htm
and click "Install" just nothing happens.
and to install it with the zip file doesnt work, too.


Did I do something wrong?
