After days of using the newest auto updater version I got this error and the program refuses to launch and says to contact the author.
<< CUT ERROR REPORT >> (was the '(Exception from HRESULT: 0x800736B3)' Error)
I too had the same problems when I ran the updater, although I believe it was self inflicted (I did a system restore and I think .net got files confused). Anyway, after 40mins of faffing about I got fed up, opened a file search and made it look for anything 'wowace'. Once it found it all I deleted it, re-ran the installer from the webpage (in FF with the clickonce plugin) and now is all working fine again..
I don't know what the standard windows search dialogue looks like by the way, you may need to use advanced settings to make it search the user/app data parts of your system, I use Directory Opus for it all.
Set to Install/Update Without Externals, and it will auto Magicly add your libs in.
Yes, have been using !!!SAL for sometime and always update without externals. Haven't seen this error before though. If I can just ignore the error, then that's great.
Is it possible to change the path to where changelog.html is being saved, or maybe disable it, since it for some reason halts there.

Also, I tried uninstalling !!!SAL and letting WAU's dependency checker figure out the libs for me. It almost worked, but didn't pick up GraphLib or SurfaceLib (I think those were the two). Someone said those aren't in !!!SAL but I didn't get errors that they were missing until I uninstalled !!!SAL and let WAU go to work.

if i understand correctly, SAL became Depreciated when WAU began detecting and installing externals from the no-ext.xml. IIRC, if it's not installing the Externals correctly from WAU w/o SAL then the Addon has incomplete Externals or something else is not working.
the change log summary contains only the name of some updated Addons and there are only the names no change informations for the Addons
I have this problems since some weeks using every time the newest version of WAU
Changelog
Baggins - Changes from 44980 to 45032
Fence - Changes from 42755 to 45053
FuBar_TrainerFu - Changes from 43925 to 45021
Omen - Changes from 44959 to 45044
Prat - Changes from 44972 to 45034
I think it would be nice to see if there are updates because of lib changes only
Is it correct that only the addons with other changes than libs will be listed in the change log?
I'm defaulting to w/o externals - SharedMedia didn't grab the file, almost as if it was an external to itself. HAd to Update w/ Externals and delete the libs folder.
not sure if im posting in the right place or not but i had an idea i wondered if you could add to the updater? i wanted to be able to sort my list by the "last changed" column so that i could see what has not been updated in a while. is it possible to add that feature?
I keep trying to click that column to sort, too. >.<
Could there possibly be a way to see new addons since the last cache? (After the cache is reloaded to current, of course.)
thats exactly what i keep doing. thats why i figued i would ask if it could be added to the program, other than that i love it, made my life so much easier. but i know some of my mods dont come from wowace so i have to maually update them. if i could sort the list like that i would be able to find them easier and know which ones to check.
What would make the most sense is to have the the server provide a "first revision" or "date added" - probably first revision being the most useful of the two.
From a design perspective this makes the most sense

Any ideas?
I've tried several times over a few hours today. No luck so far.
Thanks in advance.

i stand corrected, as stated by Seerah & Funkydude.. and prolly others.
