As a quick note, for you Unix/Linux and Mac users check out the http://www.mono-project.com/Main_Page"]Mono Project. You'll be able to get .Net applications working on your computer. So WoWAceUpdater Application isn't only for Windows after all.
1. When this is checked, this will create separate folders in your addOns directory for modular addOns like Cartographer, Quartz and Prat. Essentially, it will look like a bunch of separate mods. If you want everything in one folder, uncheck this option.
2. When this is checked, anytime you choose to update a mod in WAU that also has a further dependency, the client will download and install that dependency. For example, OneView has OneBag as a dependency. If you only selected OneView to install/update with this option checked, WAU would automatically install/update OneBag. If you don't want to automatically install/update dependencies, uncheck this option.

WAU would need some work to work with mono. If someone wants to get me started by creating a build environment so i dont have to spend 10 hours reading documentation just to start compiling - i'll see if i can get it to run. under the current mono version

Also tried everything after looking a few pages back, no AV no FW, searched all the folders for wowaceupdater stuff and deleted it, renamed folder etc etc. Always the same error. Router is completely open, no restrictions at all.
Really like this program :\ do you really have no idea what may be causing this?
Grats on the good work btw :)
I'm having this same problem.
I tried doing netsh winsock reset several times. It didn't help. If anyone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated :)
A Huge Ad. Banner on the bottom of this Tool now? Sorry but thats just a fuck*ng Shame and actually against any OpenSource License that i know, i just dont know any OpenSource (sf.net) App. that has such crappy Ads in it, this just sucks, if you wanna do Money than ask for Donations like all others etc. or just do this App as Closed Source then you can do waht you want with it.
For normal users it just sucks, they cant change the Code on their own, and thats what you are absuing here, just change ot to closed Source if you are that horny about Money dude.
As i said, just a Shame, never seen such shit befor... then i will update my Addons manually instead of using such MSN/ICCQ like shit App. (it is now...) hopefully none here will do so too on their opensource projects... ?_?
Release Name: 1.9.25
Notes: Display's ads at the bottom to help support wowace.com
I'm guessing this means to generate revenue to support the running of the wowace.com website operations vs. to promote (generate traffic to) wowace.com. Because the AD that I received had nothing to do with wowace.com.
Ehhh. Normally as another poster said... I wouldn't care about this if it were closed course and not on SourceForge. Proprietary app... do what you wish. But for something on SF, I think it's kind of weak. :/ I got nothing against developers wanting money for their work or trying to feed their family. But ads and open source just don't mix well in my book.
That said, the app works pretty well. I'll continue to use it regardless... Until something that works just as well and is ad-free comes around, that is.

Either way someone is going to complain.
