Well, too bad you quit the development... A feature I'd really like to see is an exclude list - addons and/or files that should NOT be updated. My problems are:
1. I have an addon called RangeCheck that is NOT the WowAce version but another mod. Every tile I run "update all" it gets updated to the OTHER addon. I've solved this for now by placing a changelog file with version 99999.9999 in the addon directory.
2. sct_event_config.lua (the SCT config file) is the place to enter custom event capture strings. It's format hasn't changed for some time now, but every time SCT is updated the config file gets overwritten as well. I think it might be solvable by marking the file read-only, havent triet it yet though...
Anyway, thanks for a great app! It's saved me HOURS of addon updating and is one of the main reasons I prefer ACE2 addons!
GL in your RL persuits :D
I've been using Ace for awhile with WowAceUpdater, and this particular problem has happened to me twice as well as to my husband. I dunno what I did to fix it last time. Now, it may be something simple and you can call me a noob, but for some reason when I open WAU, it doesn't load any addons. Like, where there should be a list of addons installed/not installed or whatever, there's just a big blank white space... =\ At the bottom it says the version check thing, and that I'm running latest version(126.96.36.1997), and then it says "Parsing 0 Entries in the Index File...Complete."
Tried restarting, though I dunno what that would do. Any suggestions? Thanks and I'm sorry if this was already posted somewhere, couldn't find any other posts about this particular problem...
You have to reload the index from the server. You can do this the menu somewhere i don't remember now at work. If that doesn't work it's probably because the file server is down and you have to try later.
