I seem to get a "Unhandled exception" error whenever I go to view the changelog. Seems to be happening on all of the updated mods. When I go into the directory of each mod to the check the changelog there they are all 0 in size and blank. Also WAU doesn't seem to be deleting the old ones before updating as Ive got it set to in the opions. It keeps asking to overwrite the folder with the same name.
Is it a coincidence, or does it seem that when installing the addons that have an "Unknown" Timestamp at www.wowace.com/files/ it is requiring user input to overwrite files despite trying to uninstall previous versions?
For some reason now WAU is extracting the files in my Temp directory with a read only & hidden attribute. These folders are left in the temp directory until I manually delete them. I had 50mb of them. :)
On any addon that has subfolders, it always pauses and asks for confirmation before writing files to the directory. This just started a couple of days ago and I have had the 1.5 version since it came out.

i had this problem under windows vista its a major pain on there seeing it puts files in upto four places
it seems to have gone away now (the problem with the temp files)... the major issue right now for me is that the changelogs are all empty. It is pretty important to me to find out what the recent changes are in a mod.
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
i have a problem... pls help me... what's about this error? yesterday i install alla the addon with the aceupdater... why today don't load nothing and give me this error?
I've been thinking of downloading the source and hacking this in myself, but as of yet have been to lazy to do it.
The idea:
Have a separate path that contains the Ace2 externals, and have WowAceUpdater grab the latest set of externals into that folder. Then you can update your Ace'd mods without externals, and run a simple script that checks for what externals a mod needs and copies them over into your main mod folder using the paths proivded in the mod's .toc file.
I wrote a simple c# program to do the copying part, right now I just change the WoW install path in WAU to grab the latest set of externals then run my program to update them.
The reason I do this is so that I can upload cutting edge mods to my guild without having to worry about dependency issues. I can just zip up my copy and post it to the website.
I could probably wrap my copying program into a nice clean class that could be dropped into WAU, but again, I'm lazy ;)

Commit logs... they're lovely...
Also can set up a custom RSS feed - I use 50 items.
*shrug* It helps me...
Search the forums... Someone's written a perl script that will auto-update your addons.
This update includes the much asked for fix to sorting and some fixes for when the files server is missing/down/misconfigured.
IMPORTANT: Please report any bugs in the tracker on the sourceforge project page!
Download v1.6-beta1 from http://sf.net/projects/wowaceupdater/
Enjoy!
