I got the below error when trying to update today.
Any reason why this is happening? I am not a coder or developer so messing with the registry is something i do not like to do. It seems as if there are issues with the extraction of the downloaded files.
Any thoughts or ideas? This is the first time an error like this has happened.
All I did was mark all the installed addons and then update without externals. The below error occured after the updated addon was downloaded then indicating extracting for the previously downloaded file.
It repeated for about 5 addons that had been updated since the last time i ran the program. I currently run the program about 4 times a week and this is the first time I run into this.
Any help would be great?

I had actually placed the folder in a directory and copied thh Ace '.exe' icon instead of making a shortcut to it. I assume this resulted in an error when trying to perform the zip functions within the program.
I made a shortcut to the .exe file instead of using a copied one and all seems to be well.
yes it is. Its undergoing a rewrite at the moment and is waiting on several things in order to reach completion (partially is me to recode the back end of the zip system)

I started coding a 'package magangement' (for handling multiple mods as a single item) enhancement to WAU, but figuered i'd better talk to the developers first - would you like some assistance on this project? Can i help out in any way?
I noticed this am that WAU is not updating addons beyond Manufac in alphabetic order. If you try to select them individually it still does nothing. However if your reverse the order it updates the rest of the addons starting from the last addon upto where it left off. I have all the preferences set to false and I update without externals. I also unselect show groups. This is something new since earlier yesterday it was working fine.
----
Edit: Ok. Discovered the problem it was MCP. It wasn't getting updated in either order. I unchecked it and all went through. Thanks.

Try skipping Manufac then, looks like it's hanging up on MAnufac and stopping, probably Manufac is missing a changefile

it's probably the new MCP fault
Works ok for me. But i dont have manufac installed, or mcp for that matter.
Why wouldnt you have mcp installed? The wowace files shows an mcp with the name sylvanaar in the file name. No change file, and if you select it, wowaceupdater stops updating items once processing mcp.
Why is this happening, and cant the wowaceupdater skip the offending addon. Ive seen this with bartender3, now with mcp. Or is this more of an issue with people not handling updates correctly?

It is a WAU bug, and it has a simple fix. Dont select it.
Or you can put a directory inside the offending folder on your machine '.svn' which will cause WAU to skip over that directory, this is detailed in the WAU readme/info
After reinstalling windowsXP, wow and copying my Interface/WTF backup directory wowaceupdater give me a strange warning and won't open:
The Application could not be initialised rightly (0xc0000135). Click "OK" to close it.

The only difference from this windows installation to the last one is that I'm logged in as the admin now. Hope you can help me...
I recently went to update my Addons using the WAU. I select my addons (F4) and then ask it to update without externals then in the status window below instead of indicating skipping or downloading each of the updates it just says 'Update Complete!'. I know it did not go through all the possible changes in the addons so I was wondering if I am doing anytihing worng. I have changed nothing recently to my computer and I update using the WAU about 2x per week. FYI this worked just fine on Sunday.
The same thing is happening to me today... Update complete but nothing updates.

It sounds like you may be missing the SharpZipLib dll.
