I have a similar problem - I just today downloaded Curse Client - have been using WOW Matrix for a while now & love it, but some Addons not avail through them. Problem being, Curse Addons are WAY behind in their current versions. WOW Matrix has the most current versions, so I end up using THAT to update after updating with Curse, so that I'm certain they really ARE updated. Kind of a pain in the butt, but at least it's fast. Any ideas about getting Curse to get on the ball & keep everything updated? Surely if WOW Matrix can do it, you'd think Curse can as well.....
This is most probably not the case.
WoWMatrix leeches its Addons from those at Curse and WowInterface, which still have a free enough license to do so. The only addons that should be more up-to-date using WoWMatrix would be those with own hosting, where the authors don't push every revision to Curse (e.g. DBM).
WM places a file in the addon folder, to check for the addon's version, in the past that led to problems with CC, you should reinstall all addons using the Client and see if that fixes your problem.
In addition, WoWMatrix edits (or at least used to) every .toc file of an addon to the current Interface version in order to make it look like it's updated it.
wowmatrix leeches bandwitdh from addon sites without showing the ads of the these sites, without any agreement and they show their own ads in their client ; so they are basically making money of other sites bandwidth without any counterpart. Moreover, they distribute slightly modified versions without notice, which can lead to some confusion when debugging. For these reason, you won't get much support about wowmatrix on these forums.
I wonder where they are getting EBB from... I only host it on curse and wowi and have never given them permission to host it themselves. And since it's ARR...
Well... There is. From the other sites that the client pulls them from. :p
The only addons that they host on their servers are old versions of addons that were changed to ARR (or similar) after the truth about wowmatrix came out. (ie, old versions from when the addon was still able to be redistributed)
So....the consensus is that I should wipe all my addons and then re-install them all through Curse? I had no idea that WM essentially "pirates" their stuff from others, I was under the impression that the authors all distributed to them as well as to Curse...I guess I'll have to do some research on that. WM regularly asks for contributions to the authors (just like Curse), and works amazingly well with MAC, so I'm a bit reluctant to switch entirely, given the problems users here have encountered. Thanks for the info, guys, I have some research to do on this!

Well, the authors themselves can receive donations but yet Curse doesn't receive anything for the stolen bandwidth.
@egingell: you should double-check (by running the WM client) if they removed your addon from distribution after you asked them to. Some authors had some surprises in the past ; though this may have changed since.

I did.

Also, I find it funny that you must use their client. There's no way to download them [addons] directly.

Touché... but not really my point. :)
