Check the file list on your project page on CurseForge, not the public release page on Curse. Is the file listed there? In all likelihood, the file does actually exist, but is still waiting in the approval queue, so isn't yet visible to the public (including on Curse).
It's not in that list which is the problem. I can't find any reference to the file or the release notes that I uploaded anywhere on either curse of cursefoge. But if I try and re-upload it I'm told that the file already exists.
I'm guessing something went wrong after the approval or I need to do something else as it's my first release.
Also just noticed that the curse client is reporting the uploaded version but the release notes shown are for the previous version.
So the curse client, email notification and file upload are telling me it's there but websites don't show it at all.
The curse client fails when I try to install it (I deleted the existing one and tried to re-install it) so it looks like there is something wrong with the project.
Honestly, I have no idea what the "proper" way to contact the project/file moderators is. Sometimes they respond to forum posts, other times not. Sometimes they respond to private messages, other times not. Sometimes they respond to reporting your own project under the "Requires Moderator Attention" category, other times not. Sometimes they respond to tickets posted on CurseForge, other times not.
Your best bet is probably to post a forum thread (which you already did), send a PM to one of the file moderators (I've had the best luck with Ackis), and report your project.
Your file was deleted by moderator "NeT" with the reason "Your layout is invalid. You should have one or more folders at the top level, with a .toc in each folder with the same name as the folder itself."
