Ok having a bit of a challenge. Im new to the programming side and have created an addon and uploaded it to curse.com. Syndication has happened but what i need to figure out is how to add a search "tag" to it so that users can search for it on curse.com. Any ideas?
I browse to http://curse.com then click the AddOns link and type in "fubar_volumefu" (for example) in the search box. The dropdown box indicates there are 7 results but, when I hit return I get nothing. Some mods seem to get found, others do not. Is this a bug?
VolumeFu even comes up in the auto-complete (which is TOTALLY annoying, btw, and often makes me end up searching for something completely different than what I want)
Yes, search is very finicky on Curse. I'm especially annoyed by the auto-complete. If I hit the backspace button to get rid of what it "thought" I was looking for, 25% of the time it ends up appending it again as soon as I hit enter.
The end of day 3, and I still can't type "easymail" or "durabilitystatus" into the curse add-on search and have my add-ons show up in the results list.
I've not had a problem with Curse search finding things; if the addon is there in the first place, it's usually found it.
The autocomplete screws me up every single time, though. Be *very* careful when you type, when you click, and what's highlighted at the time you press Enter.
I'm facing the same problem here. I can found my addon (Spotter) on curseforge, I can follow the link in my project to the right curse.com site, but the search on curse.com don't show it in the results.

Terrible design. As a developer, you NEVER change an input field as the user is typing, except in limited situations, and a search field is NOT one of those situations. If the user has a set number of options that he HAS to choose from, fine. But NOT when a person might want to do a search on a partial word.
Oh, and I STILL cannot find my add-ons by searching, although they finally now show in the category lists.
Yeah the auto complete is really annoying. I've also noticed that you have to search for a substring of the addon name that you're looking for in order to find it.

Thanks!
Do website admins check these boards? I posted a ticket. Who reviews them?

I put my add-on up on Saturday morning, but I STILL cannot find it by searching?
Here is the page for my add-on: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/easymail.aspx
Why can't I find it by searching using the word "easymail"? How do i set search tags!?
