It really looks like they are fixing most of the things that we've been requesting. Resurrection, ES/LB and almost PoM attribution, overheal in combat log and dot application attribution. Looking really good.
Last thing on my wishlist: Instance/group-wide range for combatlog within instances. Not sure if that'll happen.
Well basically I found that even in a theoretical visible range the combat log doesn't contain a lot. Archimonde is a good other example where combat logs can vary drastically, but it's kind of a regular that combat logs between combatants who are close to each other don't really carry everything unfortunately, despite the theoretic visibility range thing. Corpse runs are another contributing factor.
I suspect that it's not technically possible anyway but I may be wrong.
Did some tests with earth shield and the healing attribution for it is inconsistent. Some go to the healer, some to the one having the buff. I have one instance where it even went to a random party member. I hope this will be improved in future patches.
Kagaro: would it be possible to get the src unit and src name fields set for SPELL_AURA_REFRESH to indicate whos dot was renewed Slouken: Yes, although if person A applied the buff, and person B renewed it, you'd get the src as person A. Is that useful? Kagaro: Yes that would be useful. same would apply for APPLIED_DOSE as well.

I haven't looked at vehicles in detail but you may wanna take a look at SPELL_CREATE and UNIT_DESTROYED.
In general if you see a combat log event (damage or what not) related to a vehicle and the flags are set such that the vehicle belongs to you you can be sure of that association even if SPELL_CREATE doesn't fire when you enter a vehicle (which it probably doesn't). All this may really be more gynmastics than you should do though.
The unitid calls are what you want though, combined with UnitGUID() you'll get full association between used vehicles and grouped units. Once you have that just looking at GUIDs will give you the link to what happens in the combat log.
If you want association like that for hostile units you may be out of luck, but I'm not sure.
Yes, i have looked all the relevant events that I know.
Unfortunately, there are no spell_summon or spell_create events, or anything to help for that.
For example, in a malygos log, the phase 3 drakes just start to fight, without any other indication, Spell_damage are just casted by the drake, there are no relay at all.
This is why I asked if someone could ask for such addition in the US UI forum, if possible (and with a better english than mine ^^ ).
I know that Slouken already added a lot of stuff based on community requests. If we could just see something like UNIT_ENTERVEHICLE / UNIT_LEAVEVEHICLE in the log, with the corrects unitId, this could be really great :)
