I've written an addon to handle our raid loot, and I'm seeing some weirdness.
What isnt working as intended is:
local msg = "*** LOOT : "..llist[awardindex].." ("..dlist[awardindex].."pts) *** /w "..myname.." (me/offspec) to request it"
llist holds a link to the item, and dlist holds the DKP costs of such items. So, what msg ends up looking like, is
*** LOOT : [The Seeker's Wristguards] (43pts) *** /w Adelea (me/offspec) to request it
It displays the message correctly on my default chat frame, but I and many others in the raid cannot see the text in /raid or /raidwarning
Some people can however, which leads to me suspect its an addon blocking it.
If I try the same thing when I am not in an instance, then I (and the others who couldnt see it) can see it.
So, it seems to be an addon that's blocking /raid and /rw when in instances.
If I add some extra SendChatMessage() to send it to "SAY", and/or "YELL", then these do show up.
The only chat addon I am running is prat, and this behaviour exists either with or without prat loaded.
A further weirdness occurs because, part of what I also do is :
for c=1,GetNumLootItems() do
<some code to find DKP cost of item>
msg = GetLootSlotLink(c).." -- "..dkpcost.." DKP"
Which basically just lists the items on the corpse, and their costs. This is also sent to /raid, and this I do see. So whatever is blocking the SendChatMessage() in the 1st section, isnt doing it in the 2nd.
