so is there any way to get a reliable current time in lua? not like "what time does the clock say now", but a universal count of seconds that is always increasing. the seconds since reboot is kinda okay, but not adequate for my needs. nor is the hour/minute of the day thing. i suspect that's all i have access to, but i thought it's worth asking about.
i tried "os.time()" and no luck (os is nil, i believe). did a google seach for "os.time wow api" and got a wiki page about it.
to me, alias implies that either one works. in this case, only time() seems to work.
i would think that "time()" should be added to the "system functions" list in the wow wiki api page -- or at least referenced in the GetTime() function as a related function. not sure how that goes about happening...
