For the amazing one add-on I'm writing, I'm doing a lot of the work on a PC that cannot run WoW. This obviously creates some problems (I'm the type of person who makes 1 line change of code, recompiles to see if it works, rinse, repeat) as I can't test to see if the mod works/syntax errors, etc.
I've found a LUA compiler thing on the net, but I'm wondering if there's a simulated WoW environment that I can basically have my code run to see if there is any syntax errors, etc.
There is no working WoW Interface simulator, so you need WoW to test your addon. If you only want a syntax check you could use luac (the lua compiler, www.lua.org) with the switch -p.
luac -p Core.lua
in your addon directory should check the syntax of Core.lua
