Well, I did use the "Scary Official Legal Notice" when I emailed them, rather than the informal "hey guys" message I use for individual compliation uploaders on WoWI. Maybe that had something to do with it?

Most likely the same person(s) are behind this one. World of Addons is operated by Ten Ton Hammer, who have been around long enough that they should know better. Either they're really stupid, or just douchebags.
Additionally, they are currently using Razer gaming peripherals to promote their new addon site and its massive copyright infringement. Obviously Razer is not responsible for, or probably even aware of, this misuse of their brand and products, but if you want to let them know about it, you can contact them at cult@razerzone.com to tell them how sad you are to see their awesome products being used this way.
I use All Rights Reserved for many of my addons. Perhaps I should explicitly define who may host, and other factors. Other than that, I spent the last 15 minutes sending Cease and Desist orders. We'll see what happens.
I have a follow-up, which I posted on WowInterface. I'm just posting here in case some authors don't check both sites.
I received the usual tripe about posting some code on my addons' webpages, which I will not do. Even though I am listed as former author for all of my addons, I do remain the creator for most, and in the case of LibResComm-1.0, DathRarhek passed ownership to me. No matter what the case is, I am going to talk to some lawyers, to check whether a DMCA Cease and Desist is enough (beyond me simply telling WoA to stop, which I have done) or if a suit should be lodged. Worst case scenario, I could see a class action suit forming.
If anyone is interested in joining, co-operating, or is simply curious, please PM me here, or preferably on WowAce. I'll check both, but WowAce is faster to reach me.
There appears to be interest in either going forward with a suit or at least learning more information. For those interested, please send me a PM for my contact information, and let me know if you want other authors to be aware that you are interested.
On a side note, for Curse staff: should we authors be involving you in any way, shape, or form? I am given to understand that Curse was directly affected, but I haven't heard much and consider it a rumor for now, which is why I am asking if there is an official response.
They only have AddOns which have "permissive" licenses. Start at the last post on page 1 of solidice.com/forums/544/topic/site-upgrade to see what's what.

No, they didn't contact anyone. They originally scraped about 150 addons from Curse, and then removed all the ones that weren't licensed for redistribution after receiving a bunch of complaints from the authors whose copyrights they were infringing (me included). They're basically just a slightly less s**theaded clone of TenTonHammer's failed World of Addons. They still don't even credit the authors of any addons except tiny (it's his site).
Their site is also totally worthless for addon authors -- you can't even manage your own addon page, upload updates, etc.-- and as of a week or so ago they had no estimate to offer on when any such features would be developed. If they weren't already established as The One And Only Source For The Special Unique Snowflake That Is OQueue (oh, the irony of the tantrum tiny would throw if someone uploaded his addon to Curse without his permission!) I'd bet on them failing within a month. As it is, I expect they'll either give up on this poorly thought-out experiment soon, or just go the Wowmatrix route of scraping and rehosting GPL addons with no respect for the authors.

I wonder if forcing users to sign up for a "free" membership to even access the addons is a violation of Blizzard's addon policy? You can download from Wowinterface and Curse/Curseforge/Wowace without signing up or being forced to use an installer client.
