Yea I just fixed all those links, you people suck at following directions.
Hey, I don't want those ripoff artists getting any higher in the Google rankings. Today I did a Google search for Grid (just to see what I would get). I used the search terms "Grid", "WoW, "mod". The site rankings for Grid where in this order:
Curse
WoWInterface
WoWAce (just a link to WoWAce itself, no link to the Grid project page)
WoWInsider (AddOn Spotlight story about Grid)
WoWMatrix
addon.hotwow.com
Softpedia
I would rather see #5, 6, and 7 get banished further down the list (like on the next page or so).
Also see this in the first post:
There is a check box under the Additional Options heading for "Automatically parse links in text". Clear that check box. If you don't see the Additional Options section then you need to click the "Go Advanced" button.
My apologies. I forgot to check the box in my haste, had my arms full with a one year old. :)

He he, I know what you are going through. Mine used to try to "help" me playing C&C Generals at that age. Now I wonder when she will ask for her own WoW account (she is 6 now).
On Topic now: That looks an aweful lot like the official Tourguide guides (feels kinda nasty saying that).
Tek.. Here it is, I've attached 2 files. I do think they're a complete copy.
Yea, those two guides are almost exactly the same as TG's, just with more notes (mostly useless accept/turnin coords that would be provided by LH if installed).
Anyone got their hands on the full addon? I'd like to spot check a few of the other guides before I decide what to do here.
So I got this email from Brothersoft.com informing me that I needed to activate my new account. Wait, new account? Who the hell is Brothersoft? Then I get an email telling me that Digits has been successfully released on Brothersoft. Wait, what? So I go and look, and sure enough there is Digits 1.0.3. Meh, no big deal I guess, since 1.x is actually under GPL. Clicking on my name in the publisher link, I see that SBF is also there. SBF is most certainly not licenced with a free-to-distribute licence. I have just issued these guys a third polite request to take down SBF. Tomorrow is a DMCA takedown if they don't comply.
How about all those sites? (If they are blogs or something, I can't read the language / didn't care enough to try and figure it out. I wouldn't visit without noscript) Not to mention the 100s of times it was uploaded to sites like filefront. Gotta catch them all?
In this case, quite a few of those are actually legit since they were put up by the guys who do my Chinese translations. Serving DMCA takedowns to Russia seems a futile endeavour.
they are a quite popular german wow community site. I think it might be evil to force people not really familiar with English to go to wowace / curse / wowinterface who seem to focus on English speaking users.
Has anyone contacted them ? They also have a client that used to pull addons from the files.wowace.com server.
Their updater has been pretty crappy from the beginning and I have no idea if it still works at all and their addon "database" used to be outdated for most of their addons, no idea how well they keep them up to date nowadays.
Anyway as essmene said... there are quite a lot people in this game that are not familiar enough with English to understand addon descriptions, client configuration,... for those it's pretty handy to have a page where they get german translations for everything. Think a german version of Curse/WowI or a german page working together with you to provide a localised service would be appreciated by quite some users.

Looking at the wowace main page and the grid project page i cannot find any meta tags.
Google does honor meta information tags (though not all i think, but this information is ~2 years old).
P.S.: (to drift off topic)
page rank optimization tipps
Pagerank
Search engine optimization

I took a look at download links of some mods. All addons point to the same 2009F815463210.exe file. It's probably just a trojan spreading site.
Oh well then, guess we don't need to worry about it. ;) :p
They have a bunch of addons up there, in fact. Authors, you might want to take a look and see if your addons are there: http://www.brothersoft.com/games/tools_and_editors/

They also mirrtor a alarge amount of addons, see: http://wow.buffed.de/features/1404/add-ons
not sure what that means.
