I'm a little confused, I thought there would still be some separation between curse and wowace... but it just appears that http://forums.wowace.com/ is just a cover to http://forums.curseforge.com/index.php -- Is this just to make the former wowace community feel warm and fuzzy?

Ugh, we were told that this wasn't what was going to happen, but I suspected it would anyways to some extent.

I too was under the impression that the only "cross site" stuff would be the addons, because the updater was not designed to pull from more than one source.
Yeah... I fear this will be causing an influx of certain things we weren't keen on. (Cryptic, I know). I distinctly remember a few of our more "mouthy" devs being rather adamant about it. (Yes, Tek, I am looking at you :P)

If you notice, none of the non-WoW related forums show up on WoWace forums.
The vBulletin AddOn that provides the functionality you have noticed was developed by me.

RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE!
I believe the cross-site thing you are referring to is the AddOns themselves. They are not cross posted.
There was never a mention about the forums not being one and the same.
Vital difference.
Why does it matter if people can access the forum from curseforge.com as well?
Are you people going to pull some "us vs them" thing?
Hey guys, I apologize if I didn't make myself clear enough when I posted
The forums will be retained in their entirety and will undergo the least amount of changes. The main being is that they'll be imported into vBulletin. Unlike other content on WowAce the forums will be shared with CurseForge, in order to offer more competent and complete support for both communities.
And lets face it, the curseforge forums had *no* content. So its not like we're suddenly going to get a huge influx of problems from there. Nor will this change the culture here any more significantly than if we had posts from the same people on the old forums anyway.

Only reason I happened to even notice was that someone actually did post in the WAR section and it showed up in my "New Posts" on wowace. Maybe that can be fixed.
Then i just have to ask, what the point of 2 different forums (or in reality as afai can tell just 2 visual styles on 2 URL's) ?
as already said the curseforge forum has other (e.g. warhammer related) forums that don't fit into wowace. those forums are only available at curseforge.
And trying to change e-mail here does absolutely nothing.

Then they could just have been straight and re-routed us there from the getgo.
Seems to be a way to get rid of of the terrible brownish/blue forum style lol (posting form forums.curseforge)

Why does the forum refuse to change my e-mail so i get the notifications to the correct e-mail acount?
Sorting should be fixed now, descending chronological.
hrm, change it on wowace.com/home and then come back to the forums.... if its still not changed here, log out sign back in
should fix at that point.. If it doesn't let me know I'll change it myself. and see about getting it fixed.
http://forums.curseforge.com/search.php?do=getnew&exclude=7,12,10,17,19,20,21,22
maybe someone can change that in the style (.
ps: you can also add different board ids if you wish and could make two different bookmarks for different parts of the boards and stuff like that.
