UI I am making for my fiance's warlock. Need ideas for the minimap. Seerah if your over here reading i saw your comment on wowi. He likes the minimap whre it is. But hes complaining about the lack of color in the ui so i have to keep it colorul. Anyone know of a cool looking spell graphic? I could use it with sexy map kinda like i have in the screenshot.
Fits in quite nice now I think, think I solved it by modding the border :P (neals textures are awesome!)
I also realized Slice and Dice was really the only thing I needed to track at this point :P
comments please =) http://i44.tinypic.com/10rtzxw.jpg
Well, whilst I will always call this a work in progress, I've pretty much settled into the above. I group exclusively with two other hunters, so seeing their pets health bars/buffs is important to me ... which is why I've got the untiframes set up as they are. I like having things near the lower end of the screen, so the party frames start low and then "grow" upwards. Also, I like having my own pet's bar on the same "latitude" and close by my own, which is why my pet's bar is in the spot most other UI's put the target. My target is in the middle, and target of target sits on top.
I'm a big clicker, I admit, so the need for lots of visible buttons was important to me. And finally, whilst I love what addons can do, and I've more than enough memory to handle 'em .... having as small a footprint as possible while still being easy to configure was also important. Some sort of illogical psychological thing in my head, I admit ;)
I still keep my eye out for varying unitframe addons. AGUF suits my purposes best thus far, but I can see me fiddling with others for different looks/layouts. I'm not clever enough to create my own aguf layouts, unfortunately :( I'd like to square them out and also leave more room for visible buffs/debuffs.
Further work on the Uf's (which may look familiar) of a Ui of mine that will be released upon completion.
Lot's of dogtag switching/modding and the obvious addition of the castbar.
Next: A brand new project I wasn't going to post pics of until it was done but oh well.
I really waned to make something more....spacious....I guess. Something that didn't use borders, something that felt lighter. The thin white line under the player health is the power bar and the gray bar inside the health bar is the cast bar. casting text is under power bar (obviously). Also my Ui debut of the Classtimer addon.
I switched over from fubar to LDB (Fortress for display) I'm still kinda nooby with it... Haven't gotten pitbull to work either as it doesn't recon my custom color input for some reason, and happens to work with PB3. So I just went with the closest one I could get : /
