Gotta love Cork! Except when it's in the wine from a badly uncorked bottle.

Also, for some reason, my chat fonts always end up looking like ass, no matter the size, no matter the font, no matter the outline, and I can't seem to get it to look any cleaner.
...
I have the same issue, I'd love to not use backdrop at all, but then with the always changing background colors in wow, it can easily become eligable. It's why I went for a bold, slightly larger font.
This UI is also inspired by one of Duke's UI (6.0 if I'm not mistaken) and yes, the Pitbull textures are from Duke's UI. Not everything is finished yet, such as Grid (raid frames), Prat (chat addon) and TipTac (tooltip).
PS: Forgot to remove Bongos2 from my folder, using Dominos (same autor if I'm not mistaken) now and works like a charm.

Unitframes too close to the character, you can barely see what you are playing.
When you zoom out your character is still centered and should still be covered by at least the cast bars. Maybe not when no one is casting.
If you're zoomed out while you and your target are casting your unit frames will be the same size while aoe circles will be smaller. I could easily see the unit frames + cast bars covering an armageddon at your feet on KJ.
Yeah, I like being able to actually see my character and the game world when I'm playing a game. :P
That said, your UI has absolutely zero consistent spacing or alignment between elements. That, plus three different nonmatching fonts, and nameplates that are in dire need of modifiation, make the overall effect look very sloppy.

Yep, very true. When I zoom out my target's casting bar can still cover the bottom part of my boddy.

Also true, might consider to move everything a little bit. Grid 40 man is acutally the reason why I have my unitframes centerized, but even with that I should be able to move it down a bit.

At the end there should be 2 different fonts only.
I usually don't like the standard Blizzard UI, but I really don't have a problem with the nameplates to be honest.
Thanks for the advices, I sure will do something with them! :D
Romario:
You should look at Neal's player/target/raid frame placement. Its centered but not in the way. I do think that he has the frames move depending on if hes in a raid or not but even without the moving it seems at least similar for what you're going for.
Edit: Phanx, I am scared of your comments, though I welcome them.
Make your unit frames wider so you can see more of the unit name. It would drive me nuts only being able to see the first 5-10 characters of anything.
Move your action buttons down to the bottom of the screen. Get rid of some of those useless text blocks (do you really need to know your addon memory usage at all times? I think not!) and move the remaining ones above the action buttons or to the top of the screen or something.
Overall your UI seems really split, with half the information at the bottom, and the other half at the top. Try to consolidate; move the minimap down to the bottom corner to fill that empty space. Put the quest tracker above your chat frame. Move TourGuide and TomTom down there someplace too. Buffs can stay at the top because they're not really things you need to pay attention to all the time.
looks nice, but one question is that gray/gray HP color not hard to see in raids?
Actually, I liked them that way, in raids. The bg color (showing when there's a health deficit) is classcolored, so it matches grid. Reason for the grey: I played a pally, which is PINK as class color, I hated staring at pink so much, so I made the mana bar class, and settled for a grey (took a while) to get the color differences just right. I should change it a little more, since I am now mainly playing a priest.

I am having issues finding a balance between UF size and the lack of huge screen. Honestly. I'll try to include your comment about this, since it is something that slightly bothered me as well.

What I probably should have said was : there's a third bar (left over from my old priest who was lvl62, thus had more spells.) which is invisible until hover over. I could implement that in the stats module. Or do it much like pelim has it, with a minimap mouseover.
And the lower line of stats is one block, but I can split it up, or shove it all in the tooltip :)

I'll give that a try. Omen takes up some space in that not-used corner, as do my tooltips, so I am not too sure about it. I've actually never had a minimap NOT in that topright corner. Are your tooltips in a set place, or at the cursor?
I do have MyThreat, but haven't used it in a raid, so I am not sure how to rely on it and not use Omen, or just keep it hidden.
Thanks though, I was afraid you'd tear me a new one, but turns out you're not that aggressive ;) At least I got the statusbar textures and fonts in sync :)
1. Scrolling combat text - Avant Garde
2. Unit frames and buff timers - pixel font
3. Everything else - Friz Quadrata
I meant at the end when my UI is done, there should only be 2 different fonts. It's still WIP, but am lazy as hell to fix stuff right now and probably won't do it any time soon. :P
I'd get a minimap addon that handled the tracking button and mail notification (I hate seeing "No mail"). Then I'd move the your coords to the edge of the minimap and find a better place for your clock, fps, memory and latency display. Hard to say where a better place is, but it looks quite awkward atm. Then I'd probably get rid of the portraits or try to incorporate them into the frames themselves better. I'd also probably remove my name, level and class from my unit frame and add my mana text. Then I'd probably get rid of the target of party frames and move the party frames down a smudge. Only suggestions.

I haven't tried that many minimap addons, currently using simpleminimap because it can also move those other frames (like the quest tracker and the durability man). You wouldn't happen to know a minimap addon that can do what you describe or should I maybe use the default mail and tracking icons instead?
I really like 3D portraits I must say, one of the the reason why I'm not using the pitbull ones is because some mobs don't have a 3D portrait for some reason so they show up as fullbody ones instead, which I find annoying. I do realise that they take up a lot of space and aren't really needed.
I wouldn't know where to place my clock, fps and memory either, maybe next to or under the map? The unitframes under the party ones are actually party pets, I've noticed that most people don't have these showing, is that because I'm not supposed to heal them? I'll fix the information overload on the uniteframes too, I do like to show my level though :(

Everything has a 3-d portrait, as it is their in-game model. The reason why some models show up as full-body in PitBull has to do with how Blizzard has their positions set.

I don't think the Blizzard nameplates are horrible in and of themselves, but they surely don't match the rest of your UI. :P

That sure is one lovely looking UI :)
I've been stalking this thread for a while now, might as well post my silly looking UI.
