Well, here's what I've ended up with after a few days of tweaking. I'm still not 100% happy with it, any suggestions? It seems a bit cluttered.
Its nice mate. Personally I would get rid of EvesDrop to clean up some space and maybe put keybindings on your pet bar and hide it as well. Either that or do something a little more purposeful with it as it looks a bit lost at the moment. Nice UI thou.
Trying something new: http://i27.tinypic.com/n6b6kw.png Not sure if I like it yet. The buttons aren't done, those on the far right side will be taken out once I finish fiddling with dominos. The problem I'm having with my shaman is if I use button facade, then totemtimer buttons look like crap, but when I use cycircled then my dominos buttons looks like meh (adequate though). So this is using cycircled. On my priest and druid I use button facade.
Alternatively I might go back to bongos3 for the meantime, since dominos is giving me some weird behavior, specifically the first button on the left of each row is showing up on the corner top left of screen, with the rest of the rows remaining where I placed them (until I modify it then the buttons pop back into place). Of course, bongos 3 with button facade only works partially for me, since the border color don't ever save. >_<
I was discussing Grid in another thread, and decided to upload a screenshot of my UI here.
Maybe you have some ideas how it could be improved.
The space on the right side underneath my target is the space, where my pets target appears. (I forgot to let my pet attack in this screen... and no usually I kill my Voidwalker to get his hp buff... his is just a screen of me being in Alterac Valley, trying to capure a screen for this forum and pi***ng people off, because I don't take part in the fighting ^^)
Just above the targets health bar, usually is the targets cast bar.. the target just is casting nothing right now.
There are two hidden vertical menus on the right, which automatically hide on mouse out.
The small enemy healthbar in the middle is my focus. I just set my current target as a focus, to demonstrate it.
Minimap is a mess... things just won't go into/work in the Minimapbuttonbag addon.
Does anyone know, whether the UI scale feature in the games options has an influence on the games performance?
Should I leave it at '1', or is it ok to toy with it?
Thanks for your thoughts.
ps. please excuse the crappy resolution and colors, but I am stuck with a bad graphics card, for my old one just died.
My biggest advice to making a streamlined, functional UI is, ask yourself how many of each UI element you have there, you actually pay attention to, or read? Does it just scroll by never to be looked at? How much of the 3 chatboxes do you read for example. Can you hide one behind another chatbox, only to look at it later? Do you need all those minimap buttons to be showing?
Each person plays differently and I would start with cutting out stuff or hiding stuff you never or hardly read.
P.S. Spec, Neal answered your question. It is indeed Satrina's Buff Frames.
