BonusScanner?! That's actually the first piece of Lua code that SCARED me. Right after I dipped my toes in addon coding I was writing this addon of my own to select what spell to use based on the targets hitpoints, and I remember opening BonusScanner .. and then I hid under the table :(
testet onscreenhealth-look-alike with pitbull dogtags... but disabled it, doesn't fit.
ToT font color is just this "orange" when I AM in tot, other people are just white. (my style of aggro coloring without banzai activated).
Every time I see a screenshot with a CowTip tooltip configured that way, I have to wonder: how on earth is having all of those labels wasting space on the left possibly more efficient than even the default tooltip? Plus, a lot of that information is just clutter that has no effect on anything, like guild rank (who cares?), race (doesn't matter, and you can easily just look at the 3D world), faction (if you used hosility coloring this wouldn't be necessary, and already isn't useful for mobs). I'm also unconvinvced that numeric health and mana is helpful in a tooltip. Your tooltip should be a basic, "at-a-glance" summary of things that are important. Name, level, player class/creature type, reaction, maybe % health (a bar works fine for this), maybe your applied debuffs (helpful for multi-mob tanking) are useful; everything else is just clutter.
You're right. When I get back to my PC I am going to remove the useless information, just keep the essential info.
