My game time expires June 25, 2011 at 6:25 PM -7 GMT, and after serious consideration, I will be retiring from World of Warcraft at that time. No more renewals, or breaks for my mental health. That's it.
The reason I am telling all you fine folks is for a few reasons. It has been an honor, a privilege, and a really good time getting to know all my fellow authors, learning Lua along the way. Getting that out of the way.
I'm sure none of you want to know my reasons for leaving, so I will not bore you. Rather, I am simply offering anyone the opportunity to take over development of my addons.
MrBigglesworthDeath - simply announces who killed Kul'Thezad's cat in Naxxramas, because the game does not inform you.
SmartRes2 - currently the most thorough res addon out there, and smarter than any player could possibly be.
LibResComm-1.0 - which wasn't even my project initially, but I needed it for SmartRes2.
LibGuildBankComm-1.0 - scans and syncs the guild bank between compatible addons. Currently only used by Mobile Vault, but it would be nice to see other addons take advantage. Thaoky wants it for DataStore-Containers, btw.
LibBabble-DigSites-3.0 - yes, I just created this recently, but that's the breaks. All it does is translate the archeology dig sites like the other Babbles handle their things.
Archy - this is going to kill some people, as I only took over the project a few weeks ago. All I wanted was for it to work for me, but the pet project initially for myself (a clone) got out of control.
Average Combat Mana - never finished. It tracks your current gain or loss of mana, which is NOT your current mana. The goal was get the slider working (based on Halion Helper), dual spec profile support for bear and cat druids, and use LibGraph-2.0 to do post combat analysis and a real time graph of your current mana delta.
If anyone is interested in any of these projects, let me know, and I will add you as the author and maintainer.
Thank you all for five wonderful years, and may The Light shine up you, even if you are a member of the Horde.
Haven't you made similar announcements numerous times in the past? I don't mean to sound harsh; I'm genuinely curious.
Anyway, take care and good luck.
Not quite; I've take breaks, knowing I was going to return. This is different, as there are a few reasons I need to entirely quit the game. My job is a big factor in eating into the time available, but there are other factors.
If I do come back, which is a possibility, it isn't going to be at any time I can foresee.
Those of you who have asked to take over my projects have now been added as authors, although I couldn't figure out how to make you project managers. You have also been added to my "team" where appropriate on wowinterface.
Morgalm and Torhal, that means you got control of the related libs along with the main projects.
Once again, thank you to everybody! It has been a hell of an awesome ride!!
Actually I can maintain MrBigglesworthDeath for you if you want =)
Shouldn't be that hard I guess :p
Done! The only thing that will definitely need fixing is the combat log code, as I didn't update for 4.1. Oh, and I don't think I ever got the localization system rolling. Oops.
Knock yourself out, Ketho :) and hopefully you can make it a better addon. It is on both CurseForge and WowInterface.

I can take care of the manager part - just give me a list of the appropriate projects.
I think Blizz is implementing their own incoming resurrection stuff in 4.2, but if not I (or Akkorian) can take care of LibResComm.
If Blizzard is handling incoming resurrections, that would be awesome. It would require a fairly hefty rewrite of SmartRes2. You will have to talk to Morgalm about SR2 and LRC, as I gave him control. Yes, you are still listed as an author, Phanx ;D
However you two sort it out, I know both will be in good hands, seeing how I already am getting worried questions from friends regarding the projects' futures.

/bow and exit stage left.
Good luck with whatever you decide to fill your time with now.
Have fun in your endeavors, man - whatever they may be.
Anyway, take care and good luck.

Just sending this in case some of my code is useful in its half-fixed state.
Good deal. :)
