1. Please use thumbnails so that your huge images don't cause unnecessary scrolling. If users want a full-size view, they can click.

2. This thread is for sharing screenshots of your UI, not discussing your UI modification project. I'm splitting your post off into its own thread.

3. I don't like the heavy, lined square borders, but the rest of it looks nice.

I like the look of it. Is this something you plan on releasing at some point?

By the way, what font is that?

Emblem I think?

I tried using Emblem as part of my UI but it doesn't have bold/italic/bolditalics. But it's numbers are very nice and clear.


The images are very nice. As Phanx said I'm not sure about the borders, but I'm an anti-border kinda guy - the reason why I use skinner.

Also not sure parchment type textures squared off so severely like that really work. It looks strange to me, maybe some sort of fade out round the edge would be better?

Otherwise very nice, would much prefer it over the default UI. But it seems to 'fit in' with the World of Warcraft styling more than skinner does. Skinner does cover everything in the same UI mod/gradients, so your UI can get a bit homogeneous with it. While seems somewhat this more unique and varied.

Scae, I know skinner and did'nt like it. Thats why I started doning this in the first place. But it's mutch work.

I might change the border to something smaller, And remove the ones not realy needed.

If any off you have some texture / border that you think looks better than the ones I made, please pm me or let me know in this thread. I'll be happy to try it and see what it looks like.

Gorgeous job. I always loved changing the look, but I hated skinner. I'll be proud to add these to my collection when you are done with them. Really, really nice job,

also How did you go about doing this? Ive always thought about making my own but don't really know exactly how to go about doing it. I know i need to make the correct files and put them in a folder called dialog box but dont you have to make the images certain ways?

that is Blizzards Addonkit, use the Extrakt all Art function. Than you know what images there are and what folder to put them in.

use http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info6127-BLP2PNG.html to convert the blp to png & back.

I know that much, but dont you have to make the border all weird? like have an image for the border but have all the border pieces layed out in the image so they load correctly in wow. Ill just have to give it a go and look around i guess. Again though great work i love the matte finish of all the textures.

I absolutely love it! I for one don't mind the border.
I have no idea how it works, so what would happen if someone uses an addon that changes the default ui frames like fx auctioneer?
I don't mean the art, but the shape and size.

It looks nice, that's for sure. I've found similar mods in the past to be spotty when playing with other addons though.

This is custom blp that goes into your interface folder, not your addons folder. It's not an addon at all but an image in place of the images that blizzard uses.

Matrix110 if you did read page 1, you might have read that I don't like skinner. And all images are made with Photoshop.
unlike Skinner that overlays them with a gradient.

And if I make extra images. for the support of addons they would go in that addon folder, and overwrite the addon textures.

Camma I didnt mean that, sorry if you misunderstood, your Art is looking nice, but Skinner is on of the biggest junk collections on WoWAce as it includes 1 or more files for almost every AddOn even if you dont use 200 of them.
If you plan to do it by replacing the Art in the AddOn Folder itself it certainly is better :)
