I just have one issue. I spend 4 hrs a day traveling (2hrs to work and 2 back), so I am considering an eePC (some mini pc crap) or a laptop (perhaps a pda/smarhphone could do this too) to use a simple text editor (with syntax highlighting if possible) on the road. Anyone any suggestions?

Well if you want the *extreme* portability get a netbook, otherwise you can find a "real" laptop for not much difference in price and have a bit more power at the expense of size/weight.

Yeah I was thinking that too. It'd have to have (wtf, is that even correct?) at least 3 hrs battery life, though I could see if I can snatch an outlet at work (try finding one when everyone has a laptop, 2nd screen and a test machine to his/her disposal). And it'd have to be portable, since I do walk quite a bit between trains/buses etc.
I usually use this message: /dnd Code mangling in process! Please DND and stay back lest you get infected!!!
I get a few "lol/keks" however it helps to park the lab rat toon someplace nice and quiet. After all, who goes to the Inn in Darnasus? Other than for the Halloween candy quest?
If I had time I'd try to write a version of spew that fit my needs.
Really the table frame is "almost" awesome. What I'd want is 3 things:
1) movable. 50% of the time the window occludes something I want to see.
2) Allow navigation of subtables by clicking on the key.
3) Allow collapsing of sub(tables) via some (+) icon.
DebuggerFu still kinda maybe mostly works! /hedges so more
Going through anything complex like an AceDB table with multiple namespaces and a tonne of options is awkward, but I still use it :p
At least you are not watching Italian TV. Soap operas, variety shows (modeled on the kind that used to be on US TV in the 1960s, however with not as much class), reality shows, and the odd American/British drama that has been dubbed into Italian is the standard fare on both the RAI channels and the Mediaset channels. I am so glad I have Sky as I would have gone nuts long ago if I was stuck with over the air.
On ubuntu intrepid, I'm playing WoW and ;
editing files using gEdit,
inspecting tables with tableInspector
inspecting variables with the ace print command
experiementing in game with short stuff using hack
I've tried playing wow in windows but i don't get any improved performance and lack of real workspaces(virtual desktops) annoys me.

eeepc that comes with ubuntu includes gEdit by default.
First I thought about editing the first post before anyone replied.
Then I thought "fuck it, I'll just ignore the thread if he can't use real Engrish."
Thin I had gas or something and replied anyway.

I have toons called "workinonamod" on several realms. The name seems to keep the "you have been standing in one spot too long" guys from coming by.
...should I mention the bot-detecting turtle?

Also, Notepad++ with luac-wow ftw.
Ewww, anime dubs..... (there's no way you can be watching subs while coding)
I used to watch subbed anime during BT trash.
Fixed that for ya.

I get the Discovery channel. I watch it when I need my weekly dose of real life explosions and there is nothing getting blown up around here :p
