I wonder how many clicks, ad impressions, &c. these sites end up getting just from the negative attention. Won't be surprised if some of them started doing tricks like even letting some addon authors know that they 'rehosted' their stuff just so their links would get spread around and increase their search hits. Not to mention all the other authors that then start browser the site around looking to see what they can find.
Not many I would bet. First up authors are never going to click ads there. Second authors are much more likely to be running adblock in the first place. Plus it's a very transiet crowd (the digg/slashdot effect on a smaller scale), not repeat visitors like they're after (if they update the addons).
These sites are spreading around lately like the plague. I'm also in favor of the idea for a sticky thread, even just to inform authors, so that those that care can take action and protect their work.
Crappy site, looks cheap. Then again, I am running NoScript so it will look crappier than usual. However there is not even a snowball's chance in Hell that I am I going to let a dodgy site like that run scripts. I am in favor of a sticky containing a list of all these dodgy sites
