I'm really, really, really tired of spending 5-10 minutes typing out a thought-out response to a forum post, only to hit submit and be sent to a blank screen. And unlike most forums, hitting back on these forums does not preserve anything I'd typed in a field, meaning that everything I'd just written is gone. The last few times it's happened I haven't even bothered trying to remember everything I'd written. Please fix this extraordinarily annoying bug as soon as possible.
Also, please fix tabbing through form fields. The forum login page, for example. If I click in the username field, type my username, and then hit tab, every other site ever created on the entire Internet would focus the password field. What does this forum do? Skips the password field and focuses the "Remember me" checkbox. A second tab skips the "Login" button and focuses the "Reset" button. No amount of tabbing will ever focus the password field or "Login" button.

I can confirm that this has happened to me as well, thankfully being used to forums that sometimes time out without good reason, I had the message body "saved" to an empty notepad screen. Still far from a solution.
I would like to be logged in at two locations. If I log into the site on my laptop at work, it logs me out on my PC. If I log back in on my PC when I get home, I'm logged out again at work the next day.
The blank page when posting thing, I have not seen.
It's what I said in the other thread .. it might be a memory problem with a php setting. (Since you are Super Moderator the scripts do probably more then on other users)

the "white page thing" is the php script error'ing. someone has to review the php error logs to figure it out. hitting backspace and losing your form data is because of how your editing and how your browser saves text in forms.
try going to user cp -> options , change the Message Editor Interface to Standard Editor or Basic Interface and don't use quick reply (they don't give you a choice to change to basic interface in the quick edit box).

My browser has nothing to do with it. I can't recall ever encountering any website, even other vB forums, that don't "remember" what I typed in form fields while using the back button. Also, the issue occurs in both Opera (at home) and Firefox (at work).
I believe I've found the issue. Whoever coded the WowAce theme's HTML either didn't understand how the tabindex attribute works, or was copying and pasting and not paying attention... at least on the login page, every form field has the tabindex attribute with a value of "1". And apparently the common behavior of Firefox and Opera when encountering such mistakes is to skip every other form field when tabbing through.
Edit Nevermind. That's not it. The vB site makes the same mistake with tabindex, but tabbing through the login form works fine there. I have no idea what the problem here is, then.
Blizzard's forums don't remember what you typed on a back. Neither do any vB forum I've ever run or moderated, to the best of my memory. It's possible the most basic text field might, I think the JS they use on the field screws it up otherwise. I got into the habit of copy and pasting my posts before posting a loooong time ago :/.
If tabindex is 1 on everything, it should go in order encountered in the HTML I think. Are the elements out of order?
I think I know whats doing the tab index thing. Its some javascript I wrote for the main site to fix tab indexing (I get pissed off at having to use the mouse for non text fields). It must not be working right here for whatever reason.
As far as the white pages, they piss me off too. I'm on a mission from god to fix them.
Creating. Multiple. Posts. And. Threads. About. A. Topic. Does. Not. Get. It. Fixed. Faster.
1. My other thread was not intended to be "report functional bugs in the forum software here". My other thread was intended to be "report issues with the forum theme that make the forum difficult to use, especially for people with some degree of visual impairment". The whole point of a forum is that you create one thread for each topic you wish to discuss. In the interest of keeping the other thread on-topic, I created a new thread to discuss this topic.
2. You. Are. An. Asshole. Every single post you have made on these forums has made you look like a monumental jackass. You have consistently been condescending, insulting, and just plain rude. I don't care if you work for Curse. You are an asshole, and you are now going on my ignore list so that I don't have to read your shit anymore.
Edit Apparently the forum software does care who you work for, and will not allow me to add you to my ignore list. Therefore, I will no longer be visiting this site until you are either put on a leash or I can ignore you. Everyone is already upset about the rough transition. Your attitude does not help. Good day.
Phanx, while your post is correct, and I do not disagree with it, you might have been overreacting a bit.
It isn't quite fair for some of your users to have to use a different forum to report addon issues to you especially since some of the addon threads here have a long history of posts. Are you going to step down as supermoderator too?

I'm glad I read two posts down to yours, because I thought for a minute there I was the only one who would call him out for being a condescending elitist jackhole. I thought that shit died out in 1999 with the "wut? ur not l33t 3n0ugh to us3 l1nux! omfg noob!"
Lessee, Phanx: Your title is "Super Moderator". His is "vBulletin Codemonkey". The monkey part is right. Methinks sed s/Code/Ass/g is in order.

Please reconsider.
I don't think he was over-reacting at all.
Kael "hired" this guy to do one thing: Make the vBulletin code work as close to the old format as possible AND import the old forum threads intact. He did NOT hire him to take EXTREME offense at (and respond like a juvenile asshole to) every post critical of the workings of the resulting board system.
The reason I don't think he was over-reacting: AssMonkey has, at every available opportunity, assaulted every longstanding member of this community that he could over simple observations. Kael has NOT ONCE said a damn thing about it (publically).

In all honesty, Phanx did overreact but at the end of the day, that's immaterial. Not only is Belazor's behavior totally unprofessional and turns people off, it's also quite the opposite of what one would expect on this particular subject. This thread is perfectly valid and was made to hopefully shed more light on a very real problem/issue that many people (including Kaelten I believe) have experienced. That's all there is to it, really.

I think I mentioned it in three threads now but newer got a reaction on it ... maybe you ask someone directly .9

The tabbing thing, i never noticed that one, but it's not something vbulletin does in the default theme (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/index.php and try)

I am already using the Standard Editor.

I am quite aware, I have been on the receiving end myself:
